On March 22, In Touch confirmed that 90 Day Fiancé star Vanessa Guerra is splitting from her husband, Colt Johnson. Rumors had been circulating that Colt was unfaithful to Vanessa. During an Instagram Q&A with her fans and followers on March 22nd, Vanessa set the record straight.
A follower asked 33-year-old Vanessa specifically about the cheating rumor. Vanessa allegedly told everyone online the real truth. Shockingly, that also included her denying that Colt had cheated on her. The follower’s question was: “Hey lovely lady. Please don’t tell me the rumors are true and Colt cheated on u (a queen)?”

While Vanessa said “thanks” for the compliment, she also explained that she’d left Colt “over a month ago.” Vanessa said the cheating allegations weren’t true. Her simple reason for breaking up with Colt is that she’s not in love with him anymore.
But that might not end the cheating rumors. In Touch reported that Colt’s Tinder profile was allegedly spotted by fans “earlier this month.”
Still, Vanessa claimed they’d been separated for over a month. Colt might just be a newly single guy ready to mingle.
In Touch described Colt as a TLC personality whose “past with infidelity has been widely documented.” He previously admitted to cheating on Jess Caroline, a former girlfriend.
Colt Had an Emotional Affair
In June 2020, Colt was allegedly still in a relationship with Jess. At that point, he called Vanessa his “best friend” when they first appeared on season 5 of 90 Day: Happily Ever After.
But the Colt and Vanessa bombshell got dropped in October of that year. During the tell-all, Colt admitted that he’d been intimate with Vanessa while he was supposedly committed to Jess.
It got even more complicated because Colt’s first ex-wife, Larissa Dos Santos Lima, directed another accusation at Colt during the tell-all. Larissa alleged that Colt and Vanessa had been having a “fling” all along. One that supposedly began when Colt was still married to Larissa.

Colt and Larissa were only married for one year between 2018 and 2019. While he denied Larissa’s accusation of a “fling” with Vanessa, Colt admitted that there was an “emotional affair” between them.
His big confession happened at the 90 Day Fiancé reunion. Colt alleged that he “never cheated on Larissa.” He explained that an “emotional affair with Vanessa” was the “worst” thing he did.
Colt said he was “sorry” he did that, but he claimed that the end of his marriage to Larissa “was terrible.” Colt actually claimed on air that his failing marriage “was literally the worst time of his entire life.”
Although Vanessa claims she’s no longer “in love” with Colt, he said during their time on the 90 Day franchise that Vanessa “was the only person there who would even talk to him and just be there as a friend.” That’s Colt’s excuse for thinking he “was developing feelings” for Vanessa. On the other hand, Vanessa was “hesitant” to commit to Colt at the time because of her gut feeling “he wouldn’t be a good boyfriend.”
Colt Had a Terrible Accident in December 2022
Everything changed in August 2021, when they appeared as a couple in season 1 of 90 Day: The Single Life. Colt even announced in a shocking tell-all that his relationship with Vanessa had “escalated,” and they’d eloped.
In Touch confirmed the elopement. According to the outlet, Colt and Vanessa went to Reno, Nevada, in February 2021 to get married.
Last July, Vanessa claimed that she and Colt had been scheduled to appear on a 90-day spinoff called The Last Resort. The spinoff followed couples from the 90-Day franchise who were having relationship struggles as they participated in a couple’s retreat.

However, as 90 Days fans might recall, Colt and Vanessa did not appear on the spinoff, as Colt seriously injured himself the year before. Vanessa told In Touch in December 2022 that Colt had been “filming a scene on a trampoline that went terribly wrong.”
She didn’t confirm what show she and Colt had been participating in. Still, the trampoline accident resulted in a two-week hospitalization and three surgeries for a broken leg and a torn meniscus. Colt was wheelchair-bound for several months afterward.
Vanessa also confirmed they had to relocate from a second-floor apartment because Colt couldn’t take the stairs. In January 2023, she told followers on social media that Colt’s “bladder stopped working” because of “all the pain meds/anesthesia he received.” Vanessa claimed at the time that Colt’s recovery would take six to eight months, and he required extensive physical therapy “to learn how to walk again.”
