Recently, Gypsy Rose took to Instagram to announce that she and her boyfriend Ken Urker are expecting their first child. While many people are happy for her, others see this announcement as evidence that she may have lied about the rekindling of her relationship with Ken while she was incredibly fresh off of a breakup with her ex-husband, Ryan Anderson.
During her time in prison for the second-degree murder of her mother, Gypsy Rose married Ryan Anderson. She served 7 years in total of her 10-year sentence after she helped a former boyfriend kill her abusive mother.
She and Ryan began a relationship after he reached out to her via letters. They married soon after in a prison ceremony in 2022.
Strangely enough, her current boyfriend Ken was actually engaged to Gypsy in 2018 before she met Ryan. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out as the pair split in 2020.
When she was released from prison in late December 2023, she and Ryan seemed incredibly happy with one another. However, the marriage would ultimately end only a few months after when Gypsy announced that she was leaving him.
They’re currently involved in divorce proceedings that are expected to go on until at least early 2025. She officially announced her separation from Ryan on March 28th, and later said she left Ryan on March 23rd.
The Timeline Doesn’t Match Up
A little over a month later, on April 30th, she announced that she had rekindled her romantic relationship with Ken. However, there was a lot of speculation throughout April that she was back with Ken well before she announced it.
For example, the couple was seen in public holding hands and shopping in early April, even though they both said they weren’t together romantically. Even Ken’s mother came out and said that the two hadn’t rekindled their relationship. She also said that Ken was only being a supportive friend to Gypsy, and that’s it.
However, with the baby being due in January, it means that she and Ken would’ve likely been together throughout April, not just near the end of it as she said. While this doesn’t mean she cheated on Ryan with Ken like many people think, it does mean her relationship with Ken likely turned romantic before she admitted, and likely only a few days or weeks after her split from Ryan.
Also, it likely confirms that the pair weren’t telling the truth when they denied being together in early April 2024. It’s possible the two first renewed their relationship as purely friends. However, there’s no doubt that it quickly turned into something more.
While some fans are unhappy with how the timelines match up, it doesn’t change the fact that the pair has a child on the way and are very excited about their future together.
