Some people have argued that those reasons alone show just how close Diddy is with his mom, but then something happened in 2022 that really raised a lot of eyebrows.
Marca reported that during an Instagram Live, Diddy and his mom displayed some pretty bizarre behavior.
Diddy talked about how attractive his mom looked while she was sitting next to him, and he mentioned how she was single and how he’d sometimes take her to exotic dance clubs.
When Diddy asked Janice how she was doing, she said she was happy to be with him and then pouted her lips and made a kissy sound.

A report by Complex claimed that to take care of her kids as a single mother, Janice had to work super hard.
The Newsweek reported that in an interview with Oprah, Diddy shared that his mom worked three jobs to look after him and his sister.
He also told the TV show hostess that his mom taught him some hard lessons in life.
She reportedly told him: “if people smell weakness, they take advantage of you. You have to defend yourself.”

There’s another claim that Diddy is so close with his mom that he put almost everything he had in Janice’s name, as protective measure in case he ever got into serious trouble.
And someone who has called him out on that rumor is rapper Ma$e, who used to be under Diddy’s label, Bad Boy Records.
Vibe reported that in the past, Ma$e accused Diddy of owing him money, and of regaining his publishing from him.
But it was XXL Mag that reported on the Instagram tirade that Ma$e went on where he threw shade at his former boss.
He claimed: “Your mother got the receipts…Everything is in your mother’s name. That’s the one who got the receipts”
And the crazy thing is that there might even be some truth to that because ABC news wrote that when his legal team tried to get him bail after his recent arrest, they offered up $50 million dollars, as well as the equity on his mom’s home in Florida.

Did Diddy Use His Mother To Protect His Assets?
Has he used his mother as a way to protect his assets? What else does she have in her name?
An online user commented about how Janice supposedly had his assets in her name, and claimed that he’d never marry a woman for love because he’d been intercepted by his own mother.
They went on to predict that if there were too many lawsuits, Diddy might have to make his mom loosen her grip on the assets that he had hidden with her.
And the person finished by suggesting that he and Janice might not be so close anymore if it ever came to that.
How Diddy’s Arrest Is Affecting His Mom’s Health
Clearly, the stress has been getting to Diddy’s 84-year-old mom.
TODAY released a report saying that in July 2024, Janice was admitted on July 10 after having chest pains.
The doctors claimed that stress could’ve been a factor.
The insider added that the stress of everything going on with her son had been a lot for her, and that she’d been standing by him.
Obviously, it’s only normal that she would be worried about her child ending up in prison.
But some social media users have questioned if she might be worried about her own freedom too, given that she might be deeply connected to her son’s alleged criminal life.

A few months after her stint in hospital, Diddy was arrested in New York at his Manhattan hotel, per PEOPLE.
The rapper pleaded not guilty, and his lawyer claimed that he would fight the federal indictment with all his energy.
