Is Ashanti pregnant again?
She and Nelly only welcomed their first child, son Kareem Kenkaide, aka KK, in the summer of this year. But now, inside sources are saying that they’re expecting baby #2 already.
The news was first reported by The Jasmine Brand. The news outlet spoke to their sources, who told them that Ashanti was pregnant again. So far, neither Ashanti nor Nelly have spoken out about this rumor. They haven’t announced anything, nor have they addressed the news on their social media. However, the two of them are known for being pretty secretive.
Baby Number #2 Due Date
So, if the rumors are true, it may still be some time before we get an official confirmation. After all, the couple only announced their first pregnancy in April of this year. Halfway through the month, Ashanti shared that she and Nelly were expecting a baby together. Their son KK was then born 3 months later, on July 18.
KK is only just over three months now, so she can’t be that far along in the second pregnancy. So, if the rumors are true, Ashanti must be in the very early stages of her second pregnancy. This means that it will most likely be a while before we get any kind of official announcement.
In early November 2024, the couple spoke to Entertainment Online, and they opened up about their family life. Ashanti said that their son KK was a very happy baby. She said that he recently discovered his toes and feet.

Ashanti said that he smiles pretty much all the time. She also opened up about how happy she was to be sharing her life with Nelly. She described him as her soulmate, best friend, and protector. She said that he was her person, and having him in her life was an amazing feeling. She added that the universe doesn’t make mistakes and that she’s blessed to have him.
But Ashanti wasn’t the only one who gushed about her partner. He called Ashanti an “awesome mom.” He said that it was amazing “to watch someone care about someone else so much and give their all.” He couldn’t stop praising Ashanti.
Nelly claimed that Ashanti loved dressing up their young son in fun outfits. He even said that she treated him like a Build-A-Bear. According to Nelly, little KK hardly ever leaves the house.

But despite Nelly poking fun at Ashanti’s fashion habits, he might not be that different from her. Ashanti said that she wasn’t the only one who liked making their son look stylish. She said that recently, the couple organized a little family pumpkin photo shoot. And according to her, Nelly directed the entire shoot.
More than anything, he and Ashanti just seem super proud to be KK’s parents. Either way, if the rumors are true, hopefully, all goes smoothly for the couple. She only gave birth to KK fairly recently, so, if the rumors are true, this second pregnancy is happening super quickly. But at the end of the day, what really matters is that Ashanti, Nelly, and KK are happy. And if that happiness includes welcoming another baby, then fans should be excited for them.
