According to HotNewHipHop, there are reports that wedding bells are in the near future for the two lovebirds.
Toward the end of 2024, Angela set off rumors that she could be engaged after she shared some Instagram Stories of herself wearing some seriously fancy jewelry.
On her neck, she was wearing a blinged-out necklace, but it was what was on her hand that really captured people’s attention.
In a few of the videos, a giant rectangular diamond ring could be seen on her ring finger.
The outlet wrote that the way she was moving her hands in the video and the way she was posing suggested that she wanted people to notice the flashy stone on her finger.
But neither Angela nor Yo have confirmed if they’re each other’s fiance.
Did Yo Gotti Cheat On Angela Simmons?
Some online users have expressed how much they hope that the pair don’t end up together, because of all the negative press that Yo has gotten since they became a couple.
HotNewHipHop reported that according to Gossip Of The City, there were whispers that Yo had cheated on Angela back in 2023.
A source alleged that he was spotted with another woman on a trip to Las Vegas, and he was supposedly heard calling her his ‘nurse boo.’
The couple ignored the cheating rumors though, and continued to attend public events together, showing that they weren’t fazed by the hearsay.
But there’s another reason why Angela’s fans are worried about her being with Yo.
Yo Gotti And Young Dolph’s Beef
It has to do with his connection to all the drama that’s been going on in his life because of what happened to Young Dolph in 2021.
An article by Commercial Appeal revealed that the two artists were publicly feuding throughout their careers, starting in 2014 when Dolph claimed that he’d turned down an offer to be a part of Yo’s record label, CMG.
Over the next several years, the two threw shade at each other in interviews and TV appearances, and wrote diss tracks about one another.
Then, in 2021, the shocking news came out that Dolph’s life had been taken from him in a shooting incident that took place in South Memphis.
Dolph was left with 22 wounds all over his body.
Eventually, Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith were arrested for the crime.
In Justin’s trial, prosecutors claimed that Anthony “Big Jook” Mims, Yo’s older brother, put a hit out on Dolph for $100,000.
According to them, Big Jook, who was high up in his brother’s company, made the offer to Justin that if he were to take Dolph out, then he’d be signed to CMG.
The prosecutors claimed that that’s what led to Dolph’s life ending before his time.
At the start of 2024, Big Jook lost his life when he was outside a Hickory Hill-area restaurant in Memphis.
But police have not revealed if the incident was connected to what happened to Dolph.
HipHopDx released a report about how music manager Wack 100 went on Clubhouse and made the claim that Yo was going to be arrested for his alleged involvement in Dolph’s demise.
He said that the feds were after Yo, since the allegation came out that an anonymous employee from his record label had paid for Cornelius’s lawyer.
Fans Concerned About Angela Simmons’ Safety
So, with all the dangerous threats and worrying allegations about her boyfriend flying around, Angela’s followers have expressed their concerns about her safety.
One social media user wrote that she better be careful being around Yo because he had a target on his back and his enemies would do whatever to whoever to get close to him.
Other online users shared their opinions on the subject on a Lipstick Alley Thread.
One of them asked why Angela couldn’t date a normal guy, claiming that she dated thugs, but she wasn’t built like that.
Someone else wrote that the women in her family seemed to make poor dating choices.
One was with a man who could possibly get her taken out.
And the other, her sister Vanessa Simmons, was with an old man who looked like he’d already passed away.
They recommended that they get family therapy.
A few social media users have even suggested that Angela should not only be thinking of her own safety, but of her child’s safety, too.
The former reality TV star welcomed a boy with Sutton Tennyson, who sadly had his life taken away from him when his son was just a toddler.
They claimed that she was putting him in danger by going out with someone who was connected to such violence.

On a 2024 episode of The Breakfast Club, she said that he was ‘the one’, and when DJ Envy asked her if she wanted to marry him, she answered with ‘definitely.’
She explained: “I’m too old to be playing games. I’m in it. That’s me, I’m grown, that’s what I do.”
Yo had been on the same show about a year earlier, but when the subject of marriage came up, he was a little more reluctant to give a definitive answer about it.
When Charlamagne Tha God asked him if he was going to marry Angela, he said that he didn’t know.
Charlamagne suggested that it was the right next step to take, and Yo said that the radio host could give him some pointers, seeing as he was a married man himself.
DJ Envy asked the rapper if he had asked Angela’s father, Rev Run, for her hand in marriage, and Yo admitted that he hadn’t but it was something that he was lining up to do.
At one point in the interview, he also confessed that the song ‘The One’ that he released in 2023 was inspired by his girlfriend.
Yo told the story about how one day, Angela came to the recording studio where he was making his last album, and he came up with the lyrics to the song while watching her from the booth.
An US Weekly source alleged that the couple were happier than ever at that point, and Angela had been extremely supportive of her boyfriend’s music career.

Since then, Yo has shown how he feels about Angela in other ways, too.
The outlet revealed that for her 37th birthday in September 2024, Yo treated his girlfriend to some very flashy gifts.
He reportedly spent $300,000 on a crocodile Himalaya Kelly Birkin bag, and around $100,000 on a matching diamond Himalaya watch.
Yo showed off the gifts he got her in an Instagram video which he captioned with: “Happy Birthday Shawty. #Foreva #Hermes #Himalayan.”
He also took her to a private resort in the desert for a romantic getaway together.
An insider told the US Weekly that Yo loved to go all out for Angela on her birthday.
They added that he was very thoughtful when it came to gift-giving and wanted to get her presents that were both unique and hard to source.
Did Angela Simmons And Yo Gotti Break Up?
But breakup rumors have followed the couple throughout their relationship.
MediaTakeOut once reported on rumors that they’d heard about the couple splitting up, and a bizarre thing that Yo had allegedly demanded.
The outlet claimed that a ‘reliable source’ had told them that the rapper asked Angela to give back the jewelry that he’d given her throughout their relationship, which reportedly was worth THOUSANDS of dollars.
The outlet admitted that these were just rumors though, and that nothing had been confirmed.
Yo wasn’t the only one spending a ton of money on his partner, though.
VIBE shared that for his 42nd birthday, Angela got her boyfriend an all-black Tesla car that was supposedly worth almost $200,000.
