Aoki Lee Simmons, 21, was just seen with restaurateur Vittorio Assaf, 65, on vacation in St. Barts.
Aoki is the youngest daughter of Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee. Last year, she made headlines after she graduated from Harvard at age 20. Now, she’s making headlines for a much different reason. Aoki and Vittorio were seen together on the beach in St. Barts, kissing and taking photographs of each other.
The two have a shocking 44-year age gap, that’s not dissimilar to the age difference between Aoki and her father. Russell Simmons is 66 years old and Kimora is 48, making her younger than Aoki’s new alleged boyfriend.
A representative for Aoki made a statement about the couple to People, saying: “Aoki and Vittorio are spending time together and enjoying each others’ company.”

The source also noted that the two met while on vacation in St. Barts. It’s unclear if that was when they were photographed or on a previous trip.
Vittorio is no stranger to controversy himself. He made headlines in 2021 when he announced that his wife, Charlotte Bonstrom, was leaving him for her twin sister’s ex-husband, Thierry Gillier.
Vittorio and Charlotte were married for over 20 years and had two kids together. Most recently, he was known to be dating 24-year-old model Nya Gatbel.
Aoki, on the other hand, shared a photo of her most recent ex-boyfriend over Valentine’s Day of 2023, but didn’t share any information about who he was.
Aoki’s parents, Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee, were previously involved in controversy for their own age gap relationship.
Aoki’s Parents Were Also Involved In An Age-Gap Controversy
The two met in February of 1993. At the time, Kimora was only 17 and Russell was 35. She was still in high school, while he was already a fashion and business mogul.
They got married five years later in 1998, when Kimora was just 22 years old– similar to Aoki’s current age. The marriage lasted until 2009, although it was plagued with drama, cheating, and legal issues for the entirety of it.

The Simmons family made headlines in June of 2023 when Aoki started exposing the alleged negative treatment she had received from Russell over the years. She shared texts and video chats with him that painted him in a bad light, saying:
“My father is not well, for years, he needs help and won’t accept that he refuses to acknowledge he is not himself. He has threatened and bullied my sister, my grandma, he has harassed my grandma in the middle of the night in poor health, [and sent] a man to my sister’s apartment at 2 a.m. to scare her. He lashes out at ANYONE who does not say, ‘Ooh Russell everything is fine.’ Well it’s not fine.”
It’s unclear where the relationship stands between the two today.
