Chilli, then a member of the iconic pop group TLC, captured the hearts of an adoring public. Everyone was rooting for her in her quest for love and romance with Usher. Their relationship ran from 2001 to 2004 until ‘trust issues’ forced them apart. Although the romance didn’t stay the course, nearly two decades later there was still a connection.
According to an insider responding to Usher’s revelation, even then Chilli had a deep respect for marriage. She was convinced that if she married Usher, it would end in divorce. To her way of thinking, not marrying him at all would be better than facing that sort of heartbreak.

Back in 2004, the song themes in Usher’s album ‘Confessions’ invited speculation and sparked rumors of his infidelity. Songwriter, Jermane Dupri fanned the flames when he revealed that it had been inspired by Usher’s personal life. Chilli firmly put these rumors to bed years later in 2013, telling US Weekly that she and Usher had still been together when the album came out and it was not about their relationship but about Dupri’s own. Usher had just been the singer.
When Chilli finally cut ties with Usher, she stopped dating too, as she explained in an interview with People in June 2023. She was worried that if she did meet someone, she still wouldn’t be over Usher and ‘it wouldn’t work’. Even after they split, they’d meet up when they weren’t in other relationships. The love story wasn’t fully over until 2019 when Chilli decided enough was enough, she needed to focus on herself.
Chilli and Usher Found Love Again
They have both found love since. Usher married fashionista Tameka Foster in 2007 and had two children with her before they split in 2009. After a drawn-out custody battle, Usher was given full custody although they co-parent now. He remarried. This time to Grace Miguel whilst on vacation in Cuba in 2015, but it didn’t last long and came to an end in 2018. In 2019 he began dating Jenn Goicoechea, a successful industry executive, and became a father to two more children born in 2020 and 2021. Their Las Vegas wedding surprised family and friends.
Chilli found her match too, Boy Meets World actor Matthew Lawrence. They started dating in November 2022. At 42 he is much younger than her, but it is by her account a ‘drama-free relationship’ and as she told it to People, she had never experienced anything like it before. When asked if she had found her ‘forever partner’, she replied, ‘Absolutely’.

‘Pretty Woman’ and ‘An Officer and a Gentleman’ star, Richard Gere made the news when he tied the knot with Alejandra Silva in 2018. Quite apart from the fact that this was his third wife, what excited the press more was that Alejandra was 33 years his junior.
It’s a significant age gap. She’s in her early 40s now and Gere his mid-70s. He began his acting career in 1969, hitting the big time and Hollywood a year later. Even so, the difference in their ages hasn’t stopped the couple from welcoming two sons into the world since their marriage.

Gere had something to say on the subject. He declared himself the happiest man in the universe in a Hello! interview. No mean feat. The actor dated many beautiful women and he was married to a supermodel, Cindy Crawford (1991-1995), and actress Carey Lowell (2002-2006). He happily stated that he’s now married to a beautiful, intelligent woman, who is sensitive and fun, patient and forgiving and committed to helping others. Clarkson is currently on a journey of self-healing, including a relocation to New York, which she loves. In another 2023 Instagram Live video, she said it had helped her regain her footing and peace.

Randy Travis, the famous American country and gospel music singer-songwriter and occasional actor, experienced difficulty breathing at his home gym in Texas in July 2013. He was hospitalized and diagnosed with viral cardiomyopathy. While being treated in hospital, he suffered congestive heart failure and a stroke.
He was placed on life support when his lungs collapsed due to the infection and given a one percent chance of survival. Moreover, his troubles at the time included three bouts of pneumonia, two tracheostomies, two brain surgeries, and the stroke caused aphasia, vision issues, and, especially tragic for a performer, the loss of the ability to speak and sing.
Remarkably, by November 2014, Travis was making an impressive recovery. He walked short distances independently – and even learned to write and play guitar again. By all accounts, at 65, he’s doing very well, considering the ordeal he’s been through.
He still can’t sing like he used to but has made sporadic on-stage appearances to perform in a limited capacity. He’s also getting out and about and appearing on television. In 2015, one of his first post-stroke appearances saw him make a guest appearance at the Academy of Country Music Awards. This year, he appeared as a special guest on an episode of the game show The Price Is Right in February and, more recently, was seen sitting near Post Malone – a massive fan of Travis – and cracking up to his jokes at the ACM Awards.
Randy Travis’ First Post-Stroke Single
Perhaps most pertinent, however, is that Travis has released his first post-stroke single with the help of artificial intelligence – and the story of how the track came to be is fascinating.
Cris Lacy, the co-president of Warner Music Nashville, approached Travis and his wife, Mary, and asked, “What if we could take Randy’s voice and recreate it using AI?” In a conversation with The Associated Press over Zoom last week, Mary said, “Well, we were all over that, so we were so excited,” as her husband smiled in beaming agreement by her side.
CBS News revealed that record producer Kyle Lehning created the track using voice cloning technology, utilizing AI software to recreate Travis’s voice digitally. Lehning trained the software using 42 recordings of Travis’s voice and the voice of James Dupré, who has toured singing Travis’ songs with the star’s road band since his stroke.
“Where That Came From” was released on Friday, May 3, and debuted at Number 45 on Billboard’s Country Airplay survey.
The news of Travis’ AI-led comeback has gone down well with his fellow performers, with Luke Combs telling Taste of Country, “I think that’s the best used case scenario for what it has the potential to do.”
We wish Randy Travis well in his ongoing recovery and hope he gains further success in his performing career.
There have been many rumors of Snoop Dogg cheating on his wife, Shante Broadus, in the past. The rapper’s wife has now potentially exposed another round of infidelity.
Shante has her own “Boss Lady-approved” posts on Instagram. On April 21, 2024, she released a post with a cryptic message that suggests Snoop Dogg has cheated again. The post said, “They never cheat with prettier, they cheat with easier.”
Snoop Dogg’s Wife Exposes Cheating Drama
Snoop and Shante have been together for almost 30 years. They were high school sweethearts in the 1980s, marrying in 1997. Now they have three children together, Cordé, Cordell, and Cori.
However, Snoop has another son outside of his marriage, Julian, with Laurie Holmond. Julian was born a year after Snoop and Shante married.
Julian was not on the series Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood,” with rumors of a rift between the two families. That rift appears to have cleared based on recent social media posts from Julian, according to Nicki Swift.
A fan was quick to point out on the social media post that garnered more than 20,000 likes that Snoop has been “cheating since high school.” Some comments quickly turned the blame on Shante for Snoop’s choices. Shante has not responded to any of them.
The rapper is not the only one in the marriage accused of cheating. Death Row Records Suge Knight accused Shante of an affair when a photo of her in Hawaii with an unidentified man from years ago resurfaced online.
The cheating became so prevalent that the two almost divorced in 2004. According to BET, Snoop admitted to numerous affairs, but they were able to work through things.
In 2008, they got back together and enjoyed a vow renewal together. Snoop went on to say how they don’t look back anymore.
Shante Exposes Snoop Dogg’s Cheating Again
Shante’s post on Instagram was cryptic in that it didn’t say exactly that she had caught her husband cheating again. However, fans were quick to assume considering the couple’s history. Fans quickly responded with the likes of “Anytime she talks about this topic I think what did Snoop (sic) do now,” and “Oh, Snoop must have gotten caught again.”
The question for many is who Snoop cheated with now, and many suspect Celina Powell. In 2019, the social media personality, known for questionable connections to men in sports and music, posted a tell-all video about how she got Snoop’s number and texted him as if she already knew him.
Snoop flew out to see her, doing drugs together and sleeping together. The video has since been deleted, but she did share videos and text messages to prove her claims.
Powell then went on to use Instagram to tag Shante in shady posts. Snoop denied the rumors of the affair, joking that he would create a TV show about clout chasers. He has admitted to other affairs, though, apologizing for them through his music.
It is not clear who Shante’s latest post was aimed toward. Some believe Powell again after her No Jumper interview, but Shante has not confirmed anything. For now, it’s all about this cryptic message on Instagram.
When it comes to relationships, rap star and actor Ludacris has had more than his fair share of drama. On and off screen, the ups and downs of his personal life have garnered a lot of media attention. Take the baby mama drama, for instance.
This sorry saga started unfolding in 2013 when news that he had fathered a child outside his long-term relationship broke. The child’s mother, Tamika Fuller, gave birth to a daughter she named Cai Bella Bridges.
The story hit the news on January 1, 2014, when Atlanta Black Star reported it for the first time. It was shocking because Ludacris and his partner, Eudoxie Mbouguiengue, were thought to be enjoying one of the more stable celebrity relationships.

The whole thing had been an ordeal but through it, Ludacris kept a low profile, focusing on his family and career. The couple worked to rebuild the shattered foundations of their relationship and welcomed a second daughter, Cadence Gaelle Bridges.

A report by Rolling Out revealed that Ace got caught up in a news story about Nelly and Ashanti thanks to Youtube Blogger Tasha K.
The outlet claimed that she didn’t believe that Ashanti was pregnant when the news first broke in December, because of the timing of Nelly becoming a grandfather to Chanelle’s son.
Tasha alleged that Ashanti wasn’t pregnant, because she’d heard that Nelly had allegedly just had a baby in 2023, and she told her viewers: “Let’s get to know that baby first.”
She even shared screenshots of a text conversation between her and someone claiming that Nelly’s alleged baby lived with in Atlanta.
In her Youtube video, Tasha also targeted Ashanti and announced that light-skinned, privileged women deserved to be wives and not just baby mamas.
The comments section on Rolling Out was filled with people’s opinions about Tasha’s controversial statement.
One online user said that Tasha was ridiculous, and that no woman should be a “baby mama” and if they chose to be, that was ok.
The color of one’s skin had nothing to do with it.
Someone else wrote that complexion has nothing to do with self worth or self esteem.
Ashanti Proved Blogger Wrong
Ashanti eventually proved Tasha wrong when she exclusively shared some big news about her life in an interview with Essence.
She revealed that not only was she pregnant, but she also had plans to walk down the aisle with Nelly.
Ashanti told the magazine that this year of her life was such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation.
She explained that motherhood was something that she had looked forward to, and sharing that with her family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who had been so supportive of her career, was an amazing experience.
Even though she and Nelly had suggested that they were expecting a baby months ago, neither of them had officially confirmed the news until April.
News outlets like the New York Times were quick to spread the word that the speculation about Ashanti’s pregnancy had been confirmed, and on top of that, she was engaged too.
But her interview with Essence wasn’t the only way that the singer told the world about her new baby.
The same day that the magazine interview came out, Ashanti also shared an Instagram reel where she dropped the bomb that she was expecting.
Ashanti then appeared from behind a curtain and told her mom that she needed about nine months, and she showed her a positive pregnancy test.
Ashanti Shows Off Her Baby Bump
The mother-to-be tagged Nelly in the post, and captioned it with: “Baby, baby, baby.”
The Shade Room reported on Ashanti’s third surprise baby bump reveal, which she did in person while at a conference in Miami.
The interviewer invited Ashanti to stand up in front of the audience and show off her belly in her blue shape-fitting dress.
Since then, she has been more open about being an expectant mother and much less guarded about sharing pictures and videos of her pregnant body.
On Mother’s Day in May, Ashanti shared some photos on Instagram of her trip to Saint Louis, Missouri where she was on vacation with Nelly and their families.
In the first picture, Ashanti and Nelly could be seen posing together outside of a house, with her belly fully on display in the sleeveless Maxi dress she had on.
She captioned the post by talking about how her Mother’s Day had been so special.
She explained: “Having our families together as we are about to embark on such an incredible journey was amazing.”
Why Ashanti and Nelly Were Tight-Lipped About Pregnancy
Before April, Ashanti and Nelly had been very tight-lipped about the pregnancy.
Us Weekly shared that the couple first hinted at it when they attended the 2023 Black & White Ball.
It was there that Ashanti put her hand on her stomach, and then Nelly placed his hand on it too, which quickly sparked the rumors that she was with child.
But after that, the couple kept quiet about it.
A report by Page Six pointed out that Ashanti kept wearing oversized dresses during her shows.
She began posting old photos of herself on her Instagram, too, but in any of the more recent pictures, she was always wearing loose-fitting clothing.
Her followers left tons of comments speculating that she was pregnant and just hiding it.
Even Ashanti’s mother denied that her daughter was pregnant.
BET reported that she was being interviewed in a panel discussion at the 17th Annual Women’s Impact Luncheon in Miami.
While speaking to Tina, the radio host said: “Congratulations, Ashanti’s having a baby. So congratulations, grandma.”
Ashanti’s mom clarified that there’d been no announcement, and that it hadn’t come out yet until she heard it from Ashanti and Nelly.
The interviewer apologized, explaining that she thought it was public.
Tina said that it was public and told her not to get it twisted, but it hadn’t been officially announced.
However, since the baby news was announced, the couple have been getting lots of messages of congratulations from the public and from their celebrity friends, too.
Ashanti and Lloyd’s Performance
Hot New Hip Hop reported on a recent performance by Ashanti and Lloyd, where the R&B singer sang to his friend’s pregnant belly while they were on stage together.
Lloyd later posted a picture of the touching moment on Instagram and left a sentimental message in the caption that read: “Dear Baby Haynes, you are surrounded by love, by good energy, and by people who have prayed for your piece of mind way before you were born.”
Lloyd went on to say that he would one day tell Ashanti and Nelly’s child about the time he got to sing to them while they were still in their mother’s belly, and about how their mother changed his life, and how their dad was there for him when he needed a little love and guidance.
Ashanti then left a comment under the post thanking him and letting him know that his words had made her cry.
The couple haven’t yet revealed the baby’s due date.

The idea of having a child out of wedlock was a sin, so she and Smith decided that it would be better to lie.
She told Oprah: “It was not something that people praised, you know. It was a sin. And I felt like I could not be honest about that. I felt the pressure of having to be perfect.”

Once more having to deal with the destruction of Lisa’s infIdelity, Al and Lisa chose to temporarily separate and go for counseling. Their efforts were rewarded with a private vow renewal ceremony that represented their resolve to mend their marriage. Today, they’ve made it their goal to help other spouses deal with the fallout from an affair, according to an interview with Focus on the Family.
Al said in the interview that he believes culture tends to imply that ending a marriage is simpler than trying to mend one. He stressed the need of knowing the causes of adultery in order to prevent the fallout from divorce, particularly for the children.
“They were born into this world deserving for you guys to get it right,” said Al.
Forgiveness and Reconciliation

They underline that forgiving takes time and shouldn’t be hurried. Though immediate forgiveness may seem nice, real healing takes time to process the loss of closeness and trust.
For personal healing as well as religious reasons, Lisa feels that forgiveness is essential.
“He tells us to forgive for ourselves because it releases within us the victim mentality and the hurt,” Lisa said in the interview.
Al agreed, saying that counseling and occasionally even separation should be used to approach forgiveness.
