Jennifer Lewis is finally talking about the accident that almost ended her life–and it includes lions. During an interview on The Tamron Hall Show, Jennifer described how her fun vacation to Africa turned tragic.
It happened in November 2022; Jennifer was visiting Africa with some friends. They had checked into the hotel at the Serengeti, and it was nighttime.
Jennifer hadn’t turned the lights on in the room yet and was walking alongside her private pool near the balcony. Suddenly, she ended up stumbling off of it and fell 10 feet into a dry ravine. She landed directly on her right hip bone.
Jennifer remembered how much pain she was in. She couldn’t believe that someone could be alive and in that much pain.
She also remembered thinking about the irony. It was only five months earlier that she had been standing proudly atop her Hollywood Star of Fame. Now, she was broken and in agony in a ravine in Africa.
As she lay there, unable to move, she also recalled hearing lions roaring nearby. Jennifer found the situation funny despite the pain and fear she was in. She thought it’d be ironic if lions ate her, a celebrity, and they had to ship her back home in pieces.
Thankfully, she was eventually found, and Doctors Without Borders came in to treat her. They sent her to Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi by airlifting her there.
Jennifer said she was in and out of consciousness during the trip. She mostly remembers telling herself that she’d make it. As long as she was breathing, she was going to recover and get back on track.
Jennifer Had to Relearn How to Walk
When she reached the hospital, the doctor inspected her body and discovered that she had seriously injured a part of her hip socket, which holds the femur in place. He told her that her body was broken, but he was going to fix it. She mostly remembers how warm his eyes were, and she felt safe being treated by him.
Her doctor ended up replacing the broken part of her hip with a titanium piece. She was in the hospital for ten days and even ended up receiving three blood transfusions during that time.
When she was finally well enough to travel, the hospital transferred her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The team evaluated her there and then sent her to the California Rehabilitation Institute for two weeks.
One of the scariest parts of her recovery was when she was told to walk. She was placed between two parallel bars and told to walk from one end to the next.
Jennifer grabbed onto the bars, but she couldn’t remember how to walk. She couldn’t remember how to put one foot in front of the other. Eventually, she got herself to walk, but it was through sheer force of will.
The physical therapists she worked with at the Institute and at home were amazed by her recovery. When they told her to take three more steps, she’d try to take 10 or 20 instead.
Jennifer said that healing really comes from what’s inside you. She said that if you want to sit down and feel sorry for yourself, then you’re never going to heal. You need to get up and keep trying.
If they’re stressed by having Homeland Security on their backs, the Combs family isn’t showing it. TMZ Sports was able to recently find photos that showed Diddy’s twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, having a great time.
The photo came from Bryce James, who is the son of NBA star, LeBron James. He and a friend, Boogie Johnson, were vacationing in Turks and Caicos. One of the videos he shared was a video compilation that also featured two twin sisters.
The sisters were identified as Jessie and D’Lila Combs. They were wearing matching bathing suits. It was easy to identify them because of their appearance and because they’re good friends with Bryce.
The group appeared to be enjoying Spring Break in the area, which makes sense since they appear to be a tight-knit group of friends. Even though they’re dad is under investigation from Homeland Security, the twins seem to be having a good time and don’t appear worried.
They were also there when Diddy was stopped by Homeland Security during a planned vacation to the Bahamas. When Homeland Security raided Diddy’s Los Angeles and Miami homes, they discovered that Diddy was boarding a private plane with his daughters.
The plane was stopped at the Opa Locka airport in Miami. On the private plane were Diddy, his daughters, and a few other people.
They were planning to go to the Bahamas together because the twins were off from school due to Spring Break. The girls were able to continue on with their vacation, but Diddy has remained in Miami while the investigation is ongoing.
Diddy is Facing Several Lawsuits
Recent photos also showed that the girls were in support of their dad. They were seen hanging out with him in Miami, laughing and smiling for the paparazzi. So, if the Combs family is worried that the Homeland Security investigation is going to find something, they certainly don’t appear to be.
The raids occurred after a lawsuit was filed against Diddy, which accused him of trafficking people, particularly minors. There were also allegations of racketeering, illegal substance smuggling, and abuse.
The lawsuit comes from a former employee named Rodney Jones. He isn’t the only one who has filed lawsuits against Diddy, either.
Several women have also come forward with lawsuits, accusing Diddy of abusing them. Recently, he settled with a singer, Cassie, over her lawsuit that accused him of physically and sexually abusing her.
The couple were together for several years, and she claimed that Diddy had abused her for most of the time they were together. She also claimed that Diddy had forced her to be intimate with other men while he watched.
This particular lawsuit was settled outside of court, and Diddy didn’t waste time settling it, either. Within 24 hours, they had signed a settlement agreement.
Although he settled, Diddy claimed that everything Cassie alleged wasn’t true. He also says the same of the other women who are trying to sue him.
As for the allegations that led to the Homeland Security raid, Diddy also claims that he’s innocent of the charges being discussed. Time will tell if the Combs family starts to feel the pressure.

The latest season of American Idol is already showing some fireworks. According to The New York Post, there was some tension between one of the contestants and Luke Bryan, who is one of the judges on the show.
The contestant is Madai ChaKell, who almost didn’t make it onto the show to begin with. During her first audition, It was Luke who gave her a no while the other judges gave her a yes. Madai didn’t seem to like hearing ‘no’ from Luke because when she performed again, the tension between them only got worse.
During the March 31st episode, Madai took to the stage to perform Ariana Grande’s Tattooed Heart. There were a few problems with the performance, however.
Madai’s voice cracked at one point, which is always a horror story for singers. She also stopped the performance twice because of issues she was having with her accompanying pianist.
Madai said that the piano wasn’t flowing like they had practiced earlier. So, she wanted to do the song on her own without the piano. When she finally made it through the song, the judges were able to critique her.
Luke asked her if her voice was where she wanted it to be. Madai answered that her voice wasn’t 100% where she wanted it. He also called her voice a bit shaky, which she didn’t like to hear.
When she went backstage, Madai explained what happened. She said that the pianist had changed how they were going to perform the song right there on stage. It was completely different from how they had practiced the song.
Madai then turned her anger toward Luke. She rhetorically asked if Luke’s voice was okay because she hadn’t heard him sing. She then insisted that she could sing.
Madai Performed Her Song a Second Time
The judges gave Madai another chance to sing her song, and this time, she was able to get through it with only a few stumbles. When the judges opened their critiques, Luke said he was glad she performed again. He also said that the judges understood what was going on now with the pianist.
In an attempt to try and ease the tension between them, Luke said that he wanted to make the environment comfortable for her, so she could perform with ease. Madai wasn’t ready to bury the hatchet, however, because she asked for a chair since she felt a little shaky. It was a reference to Luke’s earlier comment about her voice feeling shaky.
Luke had a comeback ready, saying that maybe she’d do an American Humble at some point, suggesting that Madai’s pride was a bit too much. Viewers seemed to side with Luke on social media after watching the episode.
One viewer said that they were sure she was going home. She had a terrible attitude.
Another viewer said that her second performance was a lot better. It hit the emotional notes well, but she was a character and not the good kind. They called Madai very unlikeable.
A final viewer said that they were glad the judges gave Madai another shot at the song because it showed how much of a diva she was. Viewers and fans will have to keep an eye on American Idol to see if any more sparks fly between Luke Bryan and Madai.
Keke Palmer has been going through a difficult breakup. It’s been six months since she and her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, announced their separation.
On November 9th, 2023, People Magazine reported that Keke filed for a restraining order against Darius. She also filed for full legal and physical custody of their son, Leodis. Ever since then, she and Darius have been locked in a legal battle.
But despite this situation, on January 3rd, Keke posted on Instagram, saying that she’s never been so happy in her life. The post was a video of her swimming in the sea together with a stingray.
She was holding the stingray on her chest while the stingray interacted with her and flapped its wings. In the video, Keke was smiling and calling the stingray a beautiful girl.
In the caption, she expressed that she’s been feeling good in her life lately. Keke wrote that she’s never been so happy in her life.
She also said that for her, 2024 has started exactly how she was hoping it would. She wrote: “Already 2024 has started off on the vibes I was looking for, more experiences and more enjoying what this beautiful world has to offer.”
Keke pointed out her smile in the video, which was on her face the whole time. She wrote that she doesn’t even recognize herself in the footage.
Keke also explained that she made a connection with the stingray. She summed everything up by saying that she was on cloud nine.
Keke Found Her Purpose in Life
A few days before, on January 1st, she posted a picture of a message written in the sand. It said: “Leo + Keke was here 2024.” The message was accompanied by a heart, also drawn in the sand.
In the caption, Keke simply put an emoji of two hands forming a heart. Her posts often focus on things other than her son and she doesn’t really post many pictures of him. So while he wasn’t actually in the photo, this was still one of the rare posts referencing Leo.
Keke also posted about him in February, for his first birthday. Leo was born on February 25th, 2023. A year later, on February 25th of this year, Keke made two posts celebrating his birthday.
The first one was a collection of photos and videos of Leo with different people doing various activities. In the caption, Keke poured her heart out and expressed how much love she has for her son and how happy she is to have him. She wrote the caption as a letter to Leo, wishing him a happy birthday.
Keke explained that since Leo was born, she’s found her purpose in life. She wrote: “I want to be here to love and protect you and watch you be the good in this world!” She also said that Leo’s silent strength gives her peace.
Keke wrote a lot about everything she would do for Leo, like run into a burning building for him. She ended the letter by saying thanking God for giving her Leo and expressing how much she loves him.
Keke Was Granted Temporary Sole Custody
The second post she made for Leo’s birthday was a video from the hospital after Leo was born. It showed the baby in a hospital baby bed, wrapped in a blanket and surrounded by toys.
Then Keke walked into the room, wearing a hospital gown, and walked up to the baby bed. She checked on Leo and tucked him in gently.
In the caption, Keke simply wrote: “I gave LIFE! Greatest day of my life. Nothing else matters.”
Back in the fall of last year, Keke was granted temporary sole custody of Leo, just a day after she filed for it. She was also granted the temporary restraining order she filed for.
This was all reported by People Magazine at the time. According to People, Darius was not allowed visitations with Leo.
A hearing was set for December 5th to find a long-term solution for their situation. As of now, there is still no final result to their court battle as the hearing was postponed.
In late December, Darius filed for his own restraining order against Keke, as reported by Page Six. Currently, their court date is set for July 16th.
Page Six reported this and explained the reason why their court date got postponed. According to the court documents, this is because they are currently engaged in mediation before a private judge.
One thing we don’t know is whether or not Keke is back on the dating scene after the breakup. As of now, she’s not shared any news of a new relationship.
Aoki Lee Simmons, 21, was just seen with restaurateur Vittorio Assaf, 65, on vacation in St. Barts.
Aoki is the youngest daughter of Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee. Last year, she made headlines after she graduated from Harvard at age 20. Now, she’s making headlines for a much different reason. Aoki and Vittorio were seen together on the beach in St. Barts, kissing and taking photographs of each other.
The two have a shocking 44-year age gap, that’s not dissimilar to the age difference between Aoki and her father. Russell Simmons is 66 years old and Kimora is 48, making her younger than Aoki’s new alleged boyfriend.
A representative for Aoki made a statement about the couple to People, saying: “Aoki and Vittorio are spending time together and enjoying each others’ company.”
Aoki and Vittorio Met On Vacation
The source also noted that the two met while on vacation in St. Barts. It’s unclear if that was when they were photographed or on a previous trip.
Vittorio is no stranger to controversy himself. He made headlines in 2021 when he announced that his wife, Charlotte Bonstrom, was leaving him for her twin sister’s ex-husband, Thierry Gillier.

The two met in February of 1993. At the time, Kimora was only 17 and Russell was 35. She was still in high school, while he was already a fashion and business mogul.
They got married five years later in 1998, when Kimora was just 22 years old– similar to Aoki’s current age. The marriage lasted until 2009, although it was plagued with drama, cheating, and legal issues for the entirety of it.
The Simmons family made headlines in June of 2023 when Aoki started exposing the alleged negative treatment she had received from Russell over the years. She shared texts and video chats with him that painted him in a bad light, saying:

Mackenzie McKee has made a surprising reappearance on the third season of Teen Mom: Family Reunion. Rumors of her return have been circulating around the internet for months. The rest of the cast has mixed emotions about it.
In episode three, cast members Tyler Baltierra and his wife Catelynn Lowell discussed what they knew about her personal life since we last saw Mackenzie in 2022. Sitting next to the pool, Catelynn told Tyler that Mackenzie and her now ex-husband Josh McKee are officially divorced. While it surprised Tyler at first, the whole thing also made complete sense to him, especially considering his previous interactions with the ex-couple.
Catelynn reminded Tyler of the last time they all met up together. She recalled that it was obvious things were not okay between them.
Tyler completely agreed that things were off between them. But he was also surprised that she actually managed to pull herself away from him.
Tyler said Mackenzie felt incredibly attached to Josh, so he didn’t expect her to be the one to get away. Nevertheless, he said that he was happy she finally did. Through social media, Catelynn said that it looked like she had moved on and was much happier dating a new guy.
This Could Be an Opportunity for Mackenzie to Work on Herself
Despite Mackenzie’s past feud with Cheyenne Floyd, Catelynn confirmed that when Cheyenne and fellow castmate Jade Cline set up the reunion, they invited everyone. But this time, Catelynn said that Mackenzie would come with her new boyfriend for everyone to meet. Catelynn was hopeful for this, stating that she hopes the coaches at the reunion will help Mackenzie move on from all of the trauma she collected from Josh.
Even though Catelynn wants the best for Mackenzie, she still can’t help but wonder how Cheyenne feels about all of it, especially given her history with Mackenzie. Tyler said that he really felt like this was an opportunity for Mackenzie to work on herself, become more educated, and take accountability for her past mistakes so everyone could move on.
At the end of the day, Catelynn said their time on this show has been relatively drama-free and would like to keep it that way for as long as possible. She said that she was excited to see Mackenzie, but hoped that Cheyenne wouldn’t feel blindsided by her being there. However, she also admitted that she may be the only one who is actually excited to see her since so many other cast members are wary of her return.
It Will Be Uncomfortable for the Girls to Be Together Again
Regardless of what happens when Mackenzie finally does show up, Tyler and Catelynn both remain hopeful that this will be the wake-up call she needs to whip herself back into shape. All while mending her broken relationships with the other cast mates and moving forward to have better and healthier relationships with everyone in her life.
They knew that it was going to be uncomfortable in a lot of ways, though. Not only would it be uncomfortable for Mackenzie to deal with her trauma and take accountability for her wrongdoing, but it would also be uncomfortable for Cheyenne and Jade to see her.
But in Cheyenne’s defense, Catelynn admitted that social media made it seem like Cheyenne played a much bigger role in the feud with Mackenzie than she really did. So it’s possible that it won’t be as bad as what they’re expecting.
With the situation, fans are anxiously awaiting Mackenzie’s return. However, it sounds like she’s in a much better place now than she was a couple of years ago. Hopefully, she will be able to make amends and be a positive asset to the rest of the group.
American Pickers used to have golden ratings for The History Channel. However, viewers have been losing interest for years. You can take your pick about why the show is allegedly “bottoming out.”
The latest rumor about American Pickers involves Dave Ohrt—specifically, where on Earth has Dave gone, and why? Dave hasn’t appeared in an episode in several years. The timing of his mysterious departure has fans complaining and “demanding answers.”
What’s really suspicious is that Frank Fritz, Mike Wolfe’s “other half,” also left Pickers around the same time as Dave. Although, Frank’s disappearance was allegedly due to a “back injury.”
But then Frank got fired from Pickers a year after he left. Now, the conspiracy theories are growing that Dave’s absence was somehow connected to Frank getting the boot.
Tuko included a bio on Dave in their American Pickers cast members article from a few years ago. They said Dave was a millionaire and described him as a “talented actor” with a “stunning” skill in repairing motorcycles.
His bio also listed Dave as the owner of GMC Savanna Automobiles, with an annual income of $250,000. But there doesn’t appear to be a website connected to this company, so what’s the real truth?
Dave did appear on camera in May 2022, but it wasn’t televised nationally. Barely 300 people have viewed his video presentation on YouTube.
Dave Met Mike When He Was a Kid
Dave spoke about American Pickers at a meeting of the Rotary Club of Clinton. He had some crazy stories to tell about Mike and Frank.
First, Dave talked about meeting Mike for the first time decades ago, when Mike was still a kid. Mike had heard about Dave collecting “antique bicycles,” and he visited Dave to learn all about it.
Dave said that Mike told him, “I’m gonna become an antique dealer.” Dave just laughed him off and said, “Good luck with that, buddy.”
Then, Dave discovered that Mike really meant it. He said that Mike “was smart enough” and learned quickly. Dave also set the record straight on where he stands with Mike.
He told everyone, “It’s not like we’re best friends or anything. It was like a business relationship.” Then Dave spilled the tea about how Mike’s antique dealing business turned into a hit reality show and how it started going wrong.
Dave said he was there at the beginning when Mike and “his buddy from high school” put together the pilot for the show. The “buddy” was Frank, and Dave called their pilot a “sizzler.”
Dave watched the “sizzler” and thought to himself, “That’s entertaining, but good luck with that, buddy.” During his presentation, Dave confessed that American Pickers felt “unreal” and that it was “weird” that the show was eventually broadcast in 64 countries.
While he might not consider himself a “talented actor,” Dave talked about the production company he worked with when he was on the show. He claimed that the “entertainment industry is not like you think.” Dave revealed, “It’s pretty money-motivated, but you meet some interesting people.”
Dave is Over the Show
Then Dave dropped his first bombshell. While he claimed that the show is not “fake,” Dave thinks that Pickers has “plateaued.” He believes the show still has “enough viewers” to remain on the air, but Dave revealed, “I’m over it myself.”
He added, “I’m getting older now. I mean, I just turned 68 this month.” He also revealed what he misses about the show and it might not be what you think.
For Dave, the best thing about being on Pickers “was all the perks.” He mentioned, “Rick Nielsen, Cheap Truck, Aaron Smith you get backstage passes everywhere.”
Dave’s second bombshell was all about Frank. He claimed that he always gets the question, “Will Frank be coming back to the show?” And his answer was crazy.
He said, “The reason… you know… Frank, like we’re all human beings, and Frank had an alcohol issue.” Dave did allege that Frank has “fought it and fought it,” and he’s doing well. Shockingly, Dave claims that Frank’s health “won’t permit” him to do the show anymore.
Dave even claimed he sees Frank “all the time” and that Frank “just doesn’t want to go back.” Although Dave never doubted the “chemistry” between Mike and Frank was real, and he called it “Laurel and Hardy” hilarious.
Mike is Left to Deal with the Show’s Fallout
The U.S. Sun said that ticked-off fans were demanding to know what happened to Dave, an American Pickers “favorite.” The Sun reported a “teaser” clip for the most recent episode appeared on the Pickers’ Facebook page. According to the Sun, “fans begged to know why the repairman [Dave] hasn’t been featured in years.”
In the clip, Mike sorts through “various trinkets” in an antique shop, such as “rusted cast iron pans.” He ends up bargaining for black-and-white photographs and old neon signs.
Fans seem to think the new episode is “the same old, same old.” They began commenting on Facebook, “Where is Dave?” The Sun described Dave as a “former TV star” and said no one from The History Channel or the cast “has explained his disappearance,” although Dave seems to have answered that question to the Rotary Club of Clinton.
That just leaves Mike to deal with the fallout of American Pickers. The Sun confirmed that he went “back home,” and 59-year-old Mike didn’t seem so concerned about the show’s future, until recently.
At first, Mike posted stuff on Instagram, like a photo taken from behind the wheel of his 1960 Impala. He said he was cruising at 60 miles per hour. Mike wrote, “Full moon tonight… feels good to be back home.”
After Frank exited, Mike’s 63-year-old brother Robbie joined the cast. The current cast includes Danielle Colby, another series fave, and Jon “Jersey Jon” Szalay.
Viewers Are Calling the Show a Disaster
On social media, Robbie and Jon recently shared that they’re in Alabama shooting new episodes. Fans noted that and turned it into another controversy. Since American Pickers is supposed to be in the middle of its current season, why is Jon already going on about new stuff?
Jon didn’t seem to care either way, and he wrote online, “Down in the Deep South filming all-new episodes of American Pickers!!” The photo Jon posted showed the trunk of a rundown black car filled with flowers. The antique vehicle has no wheels and was parked in an open lot by a large forest.
If fans weren’t too enthused about that post, Jon also wrote, “Stay tuned!!” on an uploaded selfie of him and Mike behind the wheel. Shockingly, American Pickers is currently in its 25th season. The Sun confirmed that “the show has suffered from up and down ratings since its premier” late last year.
When the first new episodes aired in December 2023, the season premiere drew 723,000 viewers, but episode two’s ratings dropped to 676,000. Unexpectedly, ratings climbed to almost one million viewers on March 6th, but the following week, more than 150,000 viewers dropped off again.
Did Mike get the hint? Before the March 20th episode aired, he went on social media to beg fans to tune in. But Mike might not want to hear what some Pickers’ haters are saying right now.
A video appeared on the show’s Facebook page, throwing shade, and people didn’t just call American Pickers boring. They labeled it a “disaster.”
Some viewers are also claiming that the show no longer appeals to women. The Sun said that viewers are slamming the producers for “including too many episodes centered on vehicles.”
Putting together different security footage from around the home on the day of the raid, she showed a video of how intense the raid was on her Instagram.
In the video, viewers can see a number of tanks and military vehicles approach the house.
Agents dressed in tactical gear and carrying assault rifles rush to the home.
There are even drones flying over the house.
One of the agents appears to lower a security camera to the ground so it can’t capture any footage.
One of Diddy’s Sons Had a Gun Pointed at the Back of His Head
She alleged that Justin had several laser points on his chest from the assault rifles that the agents were pointing at him.
Christian was pushed up against the wall and had a gun pointed at the back of his head while he was being handcuffed.
All this was happening while there were tanks outside the house.
Misa reminded everyone that it was rare for Black men to leave these types of situations alive.
Because of the excessive use of force, Misa hired Jeffrey Lichtman to represent Justin.
He’s investigating whether the agents used excessive force or not based on the terms of the search warrant.
Why Was Diddy’s Home Raided? Sex Trafficking and Other Charges
Homeland Security Investigations was at Diddy’s home in the first place because of an ongoing investigation into sex trafficking, among other charges.
Diddy has faced several charges recently, with most of them concerning sexual assault.
Several women have come forward and said that Diddy had harmed them during an intimate encounter.
The singer, Cassie, also sued Diddy for physical abuse on top of sexual assault.
Back in 2023, another woman alleged that Diddy and some other men had all assaulted her as a group.
Even a male music producer came forward last February to claim that Diddy had made him engage with others in an intimate manner against his will.
These charges, along with those made by Rodney Jones, are part of the reason for the raid in the first place.
Rodney, according to The Independent, has accused Diddy of having minors at his parties where sexual activity and the use of illegal substances were happening.
He claimed he had video evidence that showed just how illegal these parties Diddy hosted became.
Diddy’s attorneys have said these accusations aren’t true and are just made up.

In the first message, he flirtatiously told her to let Ashanti know that he was on his way home from work. But even though he acted like he was a family friend, that couldn’t have been further from the truth. Devar was a total stranger, which made his second message even creepier.
The following day, he texted a photo of his private parts to Tina and wrote that the picture was “for the ladies.” At the time, she didn’t realize that he had a delusional obsession with her, Ashanti, and Ashanti’s sister, Kenashia. But what happened next was seriously alarming.
Tina told Devar to stop texting her, but he continued sending increasingly concerning messages anyway. After he explained how attracted he was to Ashanti in very explicit details, he sent another text that revealed just how scary the situation actually was. The next messages Tina received from Devar were pictures of Ashanti’s car and the family’s house.
Ashanti Had to Face Her Stalker in Court
After the police were contacted, they were able to find him before things escalated even more. Devar was arrested in July 2009 and charged with stalking and harassment. But unfortunately, the real-life nightmare he’d put Ashanti and her family through still wasn’t over.
According to CBS News, Tina found herself face-to-face with Devar that December, when she testified at his trial. He truly didn’t believe that anything he had done was wrong or had crossed a line at all. During Devar’s testimony, he argued that all of the texts he had sent, including the inappropriate photos, had been welcomed.
Thankfully, the jury found him guilty, and he was convicted of both criminal charges. But what happened at his sentencing hearing was absolutely bizarre.
In February 2010, the New York Daily Newsreported that Devar had been sentenced to two years in jail. But apparently, the judge hadn’t planned on putting him behind bars at all, and the reason why was honestly unbelievable.
Judge Thomas Farber claimed that he wanted Devar to attend a program to address his alleged mental illnesses. He was initially only going to put him on probation. But because his family had relocated to another state, Judge Farber had no choice but to give him jail time.
Ultimately, the judge also decided to revoke Devar’s license to carry firearms at his sentencing hearing. But because Devar had technically been serving time for several months, he ended up being released in 2011. What happened next was seriously nerve-racking.
Davar Began Sending Disturbing Tweets
According to The New York Post, Devar was arrested again in July 2013. Even though the court had granted Ashanti and her family orders of protection that stated he wasn’t allowed to contact them, that wasn’t enough to stop him.
It turns out that Devar had been sending Ashanti and her family super disturbing tweets for months. He reportedly used at least two different accounts on Twitter to send them over a hundred explicit messages. But that wasn’t the only way he had violated the protection orders.
After Devar was arrested, he confessed to police that he had also gone to a party that he knew Ashanti’s sister would be attending. He revealed that once he saw Kenashia there, he walked right up to her and took a photo with her.
Clearly, he hadn’t learned anything from the two years he’d spent behind bars for stalking the family the first time. On top of dealing with another round of Devar’s stalking, Ashanti and her family were once again called to testify against him in court. During his trial the following year, Ashanti admitted that once she realized Devar was at it again, she and her family were downright terrified.
CTV Newsreported that Ashanti had hired additional security guards to protect herself and her family from Devar. She explained that they were worried because they didn’t know what he was going to do next.
But in Devar’s opinion, none of his actions could be viewed as even slightly harmful. Devar represented himself during the trial, which meant he was able to cross-examine Ashanti. He claimed that since she hadn’t blocked his Twitter accounts, she must have been fine with what he had sent.
Ashanti Stood Her Ground in Court
Ashanti didn’t need to justify why she hadn’t blocked Devar, but she explained herself anyway. She argued that no matter what he believed, he had still violated the protection orders by communicating with her and her family.
Ashanti hadn’t realized the profiles belonged to Devar because they didn’t include any identifying information about him. She also mentioned that the police told her not to block his social media accounts.
Devar admitted to sending all of the tweets, which he claimed were about his supposed consensual relationship with Ashanti. It seemed like the trial should have easily resulted in a guilty verdict, especially since he had already served time in jail for stalking Ashanti and her family before. But what happened next was completely unexpected.
Page Sixreported that one of the jurors got sick while discussing Devar’s verdict, which resulted in a mistrial. In 2015, the second trial took place. Unfortunately, it also ended in a way that didn’t offer any protection or help to Ashanti and her family.
At Devar’s second trial, the jury found him guilty of nine lesser charges. They couldn’t come to an agreement about the more serious stalking charge, which led to yet another frustrating mistrial.
In March 2016, the family was forced to confront Devar in the courtroom for a third time. Justice was finally served. He was found guilty of stalking in the second degree, which was a huge relief for Ashanti and her family.
According to the website Rap-Up, Ashanti shared an emotional message on her Instagram after the guilty verdict was announced. She wrote that it was a blessing that the case had finally come to an end and thanked her followers for their prayers and support. Ashanti also encouraged other women in similar situations to be brave and stay strong.
Devar Was Released in March 2017
Later that month, TMZrevealed that Devar had been sentenced to 16 months to 4 years in prison. Not only that but after his eventual release, a new restraining order would be in effect. Once Devar was done with his sentence, he would be forbidden from contacting Ashanti and her family for five years.
But even though it seemed like good news that he would be behind bars again, there was one shocking detail that could change everything. Devar had already been sitting in prison for nearly 3 years while his trials were going on, and he would most likely get credit for all of the time he’d served. That meant he could possibly be released right after receiving his sentence.
However, according to the details of his court records that were published on the CaseTextwebsite, he wasn’t able to immediately walk free. But he didn’t have to spend very long behind bars, especially considering the severity of his criminal charges and how long he repeatedly stalked Ashanti and her family.
Ultimately, Devar was released in March 2017, not even a full year after he was sentenced. It doesn’t look like he’s made any major headlines since then. Hopefully, he’s left Ashanti and her family alone once and for all.
It’s honestly crazy that Ashanti had a stalker for several years, and somehow managed to keep the scary ordeal basically out of the public eye. It’s awful that she and her family struggled to feel safe because of Devar’s creepy and delusional obsession, but hopefully, they never have to deal with him again.

In April 2018, Us Weekly reported that Evan and Miranda “connected” when he opened for her Livin’ Like Hippies tour. A source revealed that Evan and Miranda were “very much involved,” and their affair “just happened” while they were on the road.
As it turns out, Miranda and Evan’s affair included cheating in every direction, as Us Weekly confirmed that Miranda was supposedly still “dating” her then-boyfriend, Anderson East.
Us Weekly then revealed what Staci thought about this insane situation. She had been married to Evan for almost three years, and the source admitted Staci was “devastated” by his betrayal.
It even sounded like Evan got stone cold with his heartbroken wife because one of his “insiders” told Us Weekly that Evan filed for divorce before Staci did. Insiders also alleged that Evan “ghosted” Staci after the cheating scandal broke, and she had to learn about this through a “local newspaper.”
Us Weekly obtained bits and pieces about the breakup from other unnamed sources, and it was hard to know who to believe.
Evan’s Wife, Staci, Was Blindsided When He ‘Went on Tour and He Did Not Come Home’
The most shocking side of the story came from a source who claimed that Staci was trying to get pregnant before Evan left to go on tour with Miranda. This source also alleged that there were no “marital problems” between Staci and Evan, so she was thoroughly blindsided when Evan “went on tour and he did not come home.”
But there always seems to be another source throwing shade, and Us Weekly claimed that an insider dished that Staci and Evan were having “relationship issues.”
Staci took to social media in April 2018 and shared her heartbreak in an emotional Instagram Story. Staci captioned a sad selfie with the caption, “PSA: If Staci Felker can make it through this week, so can you.”
Four months after Us Weekly reported that Evan “started dating Miranda,” they confirmed that Evan and Staci’s divorce was finalized. Hold on to your cowboy hats because the timing gets crazier after this.

Fast-forward to June 2020, and things were looking up for Staci on social media. While she played coy about the details, her fans and followers were delighted to read Staci’s Instagram post about cooking a delicious meal for a “quarantine date night.” So… who was the lucky fella?

Evan Released a Book and Said, ‘I Found Sobriety and Recovery …’
We’ll give Evan the last word since he had the most explaining to do. In August 2020, Evan released a book called Red Dirt, in which he revealed the shocking way he changed his life for the better.
