Bunnie XO has come to the defense of her husband Jelly Roll.
The country star’s wife has asked people to treat Jelly Roll with a little more kindness after he left social media following mean comments about his weight.
Bunnie made her plea on a recent episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast.
Bunnie Said Jelly Roll is ‘So Tired of Being Bullied’
She revealed that her husband was “so tired of being bullied” about his appearance.
She added that the torment Jelly Roll experienced made her want to cry.
She described him as “the sweetest angel baby” and added, “My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m going to have a very vulnerable moment here.”
She said that the nasty jokes made about the singer really “hurts him.”
Bunnie expressed her belief that what Jelly Roll went through was an unfair part of being a famous figure.
She said that people online say whatever they want about public figures.
Bunnie continued, “and they say, ‘You’re a celebrity. You’re supposed to be able to handle it.’”
Bunnie XO Claps Back
But now, Bunnie finally clapped back: “Enough is enough.”
She shared that her goal in the online space was to stand up for all the “underdogs” bullied on social media.
However, she also added that she would not allow anything said about her online to upset her.
Bunnie explained, “You’re never going to bully me. You’re never going to lie about me or my family, and I will fight to the end.”
Despite what he’s read in the comments, Jelly Roll has been focusing for years now on improving his health.
Jelly Roll’s Emotional Weight Loss Journey
He shared a post on Instagram in 2018 to mark his incredible weight loss journey.
He revealed that three years earlier, he discovered at the doctors that he weighed over 500 pounds.
When the doctor advised him to visit a “meat processor or truck stop” to use their scales, he described it as “one of the most embarrassing days of his life.”
But it was also the wake up call he needed, and 2024 has been his most health-driven year so far.
Life & Style revealed that at the start of the year, Jelly Roll shared that he had lost “70 something pounds”.
His slimmer figure was later noticed at events like the 2024 CMT Awards.
He shared details about his weight loss program, stating, “I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day.”
He also added that he was “eating healthy right now.”
But most importantly, he said that he was feeling really good.
Now that he’s removed himself from the toxic commentary on social media, Jelly Roll can hopefully continue to focus on his weight goals for the right reasons.
Whatever the case, he knows his loyal wife is in his corner.
