Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis from Teen Mom, have always been very private. There’s only been a handful of times when they appeared on the show. But most of what we know about them has come from the show as well.
Recently, Tyler spoke out about them. He and Catelynn have always respected Brandon and Teresa’s wish for privacy. This has been a storyline on the show for many years now.

But in early February, Tyler mentioned the two of them in a Tweet. His Tweet was actually a response to another Tweet, a question from one of his followers. And it was all connected to Tyler’s recent new career choice.
Last year, Tyler started an OF account where he offers spicy pictures of himself to his subscribers. More specifically, it was Catelynn who started it for him.
The two of them opened up about this decision to TooFab in August of 2023. Catelynn explained that she had wanted to start an OF for her husband for a while. This came after Tyler’s body transformed after he began his fitness journey.
Catelynn said to TooFab that people on social media had been expressing their admiration for Tyler all over the place. She thought that starting a subscription service for anyone interested would be a good idea.

She said: “I kept telling him, kept telling him about it, and one day I just pulled the trigger and signed him up.”
Catelynn is also the one in charge of the account. She explained that it’s her who chooses what content to post, what pictures go up, and what don’t. On top of that, she’s also the one communicating with Tyler’s subscribers.
Tyler Claims That Brandon and Teresa Wouldn’t Approve of His Career
Tyler, for his part, is just there to be in the photos. But he explained that he doesn’t have a problem with Catelynn making an OF account for him.
He said he was pretty secure with his body and didn’t mind the images being out there. So he explained that he just told Catelynn to do whatever she wanted with the pictures he was sending her.
However, the decision to start an OF account met with some criticism on social media. Tyler’s tweet, where he talked about Brandon and Teresa, was in response to someone questioning his new career.
The person, going under the Twitter name Parvana, was questioning what Brandon and Teresa would think about Tyler’s OF account. They wrote: “How do you expect Brandon and Teresa to respond to this? They don’t want to be associated with this nonsense!”

Tyler responded to the Tweet, saying that he wasn’t worried about what other people thought, including Brandon and Teresa. He wrote: “I refuse to live my life trying to live up to anyone’s expectations besides my own!”
He also commented specifically on the situation with Brandon and Teresa. According to his Tweet, having their approval of his life was a lost cause anyway. He chose to put things like this: “As far as B & T go, I couldn’t please them or get their approval if I was damn Mother Teresa herself.”
In a 2021 reunion episode of Teen Mom OG, Tyler and Catelynn opened up about feeling inferior in their relationship with Brandon and Teresa. Tyler said that he felt the need to be careful what he was saying whenever he would be around them.
Teresa and Brandon Can Refuse to Allow Catelynn and Tyler to See Carly
He explained that the reason was an unequal dynamic between him and Catelynn and their daughter’s adoptive parents. Catelynn explained that Teresa and Brandon had the power to take away their access to Carly.
We know from the show that when Catelynn and Tyler decided to put Carly up for adoption, they chose an open adoption. This means that they could be involved in Carly’s life.
She would know who her birth parents were, and they could get to see her as well. But it would be at the discretion of Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa.
Anytime that Catelynn and Tyler wanted to see Carly, it would only happen with her adoptive parents’ approval. This means that if Teresa and Brandon disapproved of Catelynn and Tyler, they could just not let them see Carly.
Tyler and Catelynn were definitely feeling that pressure. But even so, there have been nice moments between the two couples.
In 2019, The Davises were on Teen Mom Reunion along with Catelynn and Tyler. Each of the couples had some nice things to say about the other.
Teresa recalled the moment when Carly was born and the first time she held her. She said she felt extremely grateful to Catelynn for everything. She said the moment was one-of-a-kind, and there wasn’t anything quite like it.
As for the other side, Tyler also expressed his thanks to Teresa and Brandon. He thanked them for being amazing parents to Carly. He said that he and Catelynn really couldn’t have asked for anything more than that.
