Cory Wharton has cheated on Taylor Selfridge! The Teen Mom couple could be on the brink of disaster after Cory’s shattering admission on Teen Mom: Family Reunion.
Cory said that his partner “doesn’t trust me because I cheated on her five years ago.” He hastened to add that he regretted what he had done “every day.” The 33-year-old went on to say, “I need to do the best I can do to make sure to rebuild that trust between me and Taylor because right now, it’s dragging us down like an anchor.”
Cory’s confession happened during an exercise that had been organized by relationship experts Dr. Mike Dow and Machaiah Dominguez. Both Cory and Taylor admitted that progress in their relationship was proving tricky. They both agreed that the root cause of this was a lack of trust.

Taylor told the experts that Cory “just wants me to get over it because it was so long ago.” While she acknowledged that it had been years since Cory cheated on her, she said that she was “not over it yet.” She went on to say that it was something that the couple had not yet managed to work through and something that the Teen Mom was still “holding a grudge” about.
Taylor went on to describe the ways in which Cory’s betrayal still affected how she thought about him. Heartbreakingly, she revealed that she still feared that he could do the same thing to her again.
She shared that she will “always think there could be something.” After having her trust broken, she said that it was “hard” to pick up where they left off.
Cory Had More Hidden Secrets
The couple have been together since 2017, meaning that Cory must have cheated on Taylor one or two years into their relationship. Since meeting on a separate reality show, Ex on the Beach, the two have gone on to start a family together. Their first daughter, Mila, was born three years ago, followed by a second, Maya, about a year and a half ago.
Before getting together with Taylor, Cory had another daughter with ex-girlfriend Cheyenne Floyd. Us Weekly reported that Cheyenne also had her say on Cory’s devastating confession. The outlet described Cheyenne as being “surprised by her ex’s openness about his past mistakes.”

She said she didn’t know “if everybody knew” about Cory’s secret, which would be “really hard to work through.” Cory described his past actions as a “dumb mistake” that he was still paying for.
However, he hinted that it was not the only reason that his relationship with his baby momma was in turmoil. He told Tyler Baltierra that “there’s more to me and her than just my issues.” Whatever those other issues are, they’re sure to be explored in the upcoming episodes of Family Reunion.
