Cuba Gooding Jr. has been named in the lawsuit filed against Diddy by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr. The producer filed the lawsuit in February of this year. In it, he made accusations about Diddy’s actions that allegedly occurred between 2022 and 2023.
In the original suit, Cuba was named. However, the filing has since been amended to list him as a defendant, according to The Cut. According to the Miami Herald, the change in the filing came just hours after the raids on Diddy’s mansions by Homeland Security.

Lil Rod has said that in addition to other alleged crimes, Diddy was intending to prepare him to pass him off to his friends. If his amended lawsuit is true, Cuba is one of the friends Lil Rod claims Diddy involved in his plans.
Lil Rod alleged that Diddy introduced them in January of last year on Diddy’s yacht in the Virgin Islands. He went on to allege that Diddy “suggested that Cuba ‘get to know’ him better.”
After they were introduced, Lil Rod claimed that Cuba harassed and harmed him. He claimed that he “touched” and “groped” his legs, back, and shoulders, and made him feel “extremely uncomfortable.” After Lil Rod allegedly “rejected his advances” by leaning away, Cuba allegedly “did not stop until Mr Jones forcibly pushed him away.”
Cuba Has Not Responded to the Lawsuit
Elsewhere in his lawsuit, Lil Rod claimed that Diddy was operating a “trafficking venture” and was involved in “serious illegal activity.” The many criminal acts Lil Rod listed were seriously disturbing.
The producer said that he lived and traveled with Diddy last year while they worked on his album. During that time, he claimed that he was “the victim of constant unsolicited and unauthorized” approaches by Diddy.
After Cuba’s name was added to the suit, NBC reached out to his representatives for comment. However, they have yet to respond.

Although the lawsuit accused Cuba of SA and misconduct, he has so far not been charged with any crime. But this is not the first time Cuba has found himself in a situation like this.
In 2022, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge that he forcibly kissed a staff member at a nightclub in New York. As a result, he had to complete drinking and behavior modification counseling. He was then allowed to withdraw the plea in exchange for the lesser charge of harassment. This meant that he was able to resolve the case without facing any jail time.
In August 2020, CNN reported the shocking news that as many as 30 women had come forward with inappropriate touching accusations against the Oscar winner. However, it seems that none of Cuba’s past legal troubles have ever led to a prison sentence.
Cuba Was in Miami Near Diddy’s Home
Earlier this month, TMZ shared an update on the actor’s whereabouts. They obtained a photo showing Cuba in South Beach, Miami, on Easter Sunday. He was spotted by himself checking his phone on the back of a golf cart while two unknown men sat up front.
TMZ noted that his choice of location might well raise some eyebrows. His presence in Miami, where one of Diddy’s raided houses is located, is bound to draw a lot of attention. However, there’s no evidence that the now co-defendants have had any contact with each other amid the recent string of scandals.

Cuba was far from the only famous figure whose name appeared on Lil Rod’s lawsuit. Among the celebrities named in the lawsuit is Yung Miami. Lil Rod claimed in his filing that he has “irrefutable evidence” that Yung Miami’s “cousin and/or assistant” attacked him, according to Complex.
Lil Rod alleged that he was with Diddy, Yung Miami, and her female cousins on Thanksgiving Day 2022. He claimed that one of her cousins “burst into the bathroom” while he was inside before attacking him.
Lil Rod is suing Diddy for $30 million. The hip-hop mogul has been well-connected in Hollywood for several decades. The world will be watching to see if any more high-profile figures will soon be drawn into his public downfall.
