After more than ten years of dating, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Heather Milligan are still very much together and going strong.
After the Terminator actor’s 2011 divorce from Maria Shriver, rumors began circulating in 2013 linking him to Heather. Arnold and Maria were together for more than two decades and share four children. Today, Arnold and Heather have been together for over a decade.

Heather Milligan’s Illustrious Career
Heather is quite athletic, much like Arnold Schwarzenegger. She competed in gymnastics for 20 years before she started the company Elite OrthoSport in 2013. According to her Elite OrthoSport bio, she has experience working with a wide range of athletes, including those in professional boxing, mixed martial arts, the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, tennis, figure skating, volleyball, soccer, track and gymnastics, and plenty of leisure athletes.
Heather has been practicing physical therapy for nearly 20 years, as stated in her Elite OrthoSport profile. She holds degrees from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, including a Physical Therapy degree and an MBA. According to Elite OrthoSport, she is among the top physical therapists in the nation and holds three prestigious qualifications.
In a February 2024 interview with People Magazine, Heather and Arnold noted that she is quite passionate about being able to help athletes post-surgery.
“I get to meet a lot of those football players when they come to her clinic because I go there sometimes myself and get some therapy sessions done and all that stuff,” said Arnold about Heather’s position. “So she’s heavily into football and all of the sports, basketball, baseball and all of that. So because of her, I’ll watch also.”
How Arnold Schwarzenegger And Heather Milligan Met
Arnold and Heather met in 2012 after the latter had to undergo shoulder surgery. Arnold allegedly needed to get in shape before filming the 2013 film Escape Plan, so he asked his shoulder surgeon for recommendations. His surgeon enthusiastically recommended Heather to be Arnold’s physical therapist.
“So I went to her, and then after my therapy was finished, after I was finished with the movie, I called her back and took her out for lunch to say thank you,” said Arnold of the interaction in the above-mentioned People Magazine interview. “And then one thing led to the next.”
The pair have been together ever since. Arnold and Heather are pretty low-key people; through the years they’ve been together, Heather has only posted small peeks into their personal life. Though, she has attended public events with Arnold often. The pair debuted their relationship at the Environmental Media Awards in 2014.
The age difference might be a bit shocking to some people. As of 2024, Arnold is 77 years old. Heather, as of 2024, is 49 years old. That’s a whopping 28-year age difference.

That doesn’t seem to bother the couple too much, nor does it seem to bother his family. Heather is allegedly quite close with Arnold’s children.
