There’s been a lot of debate about whether Diddy is innocent of the crimes leveled against him. Although most people are convinced he’s guilty, Stevie J is certainly of a different opinion.
Given their twenty-nine-year friendship, it’s unsurprising that their bond could be making him blind to his friend’s alleged atrocities. However, after Faith Evans allegedly dropped disturbing footage starring both parties, social media has started spreading another round of rumors that the two friends might have been in an affair.

Faith Evans’ and Diddy’s relationship goes way back. You might remember her from her time working with Bad Boy Records, a label Diddy owned, in the mid-to-late 1990s.
Say what you want, but she had a very huge influence on the label. In fact, most people credit her as the reason the label was solidified as one of the premier record labels in hip-hop and R&B.
Aside from her career, Faith also had a rather interesting relationship with The Notorious B.I.G., with the two tying the knot after a mere week of knowing each other. Most people remember Faith as a multi-talented singer and television producer who has remained relevant even though she hasn’t had the smoothest time in the music industry. Since she used to work with Diddy, it’s not too surprising that she had a few things to share concerning the recent allegations brought against him.
Diddy Has Had an Eventful Year
If you have no idea what’s going on, let me break it down for you. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a US music mogul and influential hip-hop producer who has maintained relevance since gaining fame in the 90s.
At the beginning of his career, he was known as Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Buddy Love, and later just stuck with Diddy. He started by being Notorious B.I.G. ‘s manager and producer. Soon enough, he became popular enough to run the music world.

Diddy’s list of achievements wasn’t enough to stop a raid on his Los Angeles and Florida mansions in March 2024. The Department of Homeland Security raided both homes as part of an ongoing trafficking investigation. Although, it’s still unclear whether Diddy was the kingpin or if he just happened to be an important side character.
Following this raid, the internet went ablaze, with many social media users rallying against him, especially since he was spotted allegedly trying to run away following the raid. Still, some people decided to stand with him, and basically deny that the allegations had any truth to them.
I’m not one to judge, but with the evidence and receipts that have been popping up all over the Internet, showcasing Diddy in a light many of us haven’t seen before, I’m not sure what to believe anymore. Stevie J is not as conflicted, and cannot be deterred, choosing to stand behind his friend of twenty-nine years.
Faith Has Turned on Her Longtime Friend
Interestingly, Stevie was also married to Faith Evans from 2018 until 2023. So, they’re all kinds of intertwined here. That’s possibly why people are taking everything Faith says rather seriously.
Well, she hasn’t really said much about the situation. But I don’t think she needs to, especially after allegedly releasing the shocking footage starring Diddy and her ex-husband. The video allegedly shows Diddy and someone who bears a striking resemblance to Stevie J participating in some ‘unusual’ activities.

Naturally, this fueled the rumors that the duo weren’t just really good friends, and were in fact, lovers. While that’s still very questionable, some observers wonder why Faith is seemingly turning on her long-time friend. Especially since years ago when she was asked about Diddy, she shared that she’d always seen him as a visionary.
While some insist that she’s allowed to have a mind of her own, especially since this is such a delicate case and justice is just on the brink for the number of people involved in the lawsuits, others believe Faith still has a personal vendetta against her ex-husband.
Stevie and Faith Had a Very Rocky Relationship
Just in case you weren’t aware, Faith and Stevie’s relationship didn’t exactly end on smooth terms. Stevie accused her of infidelity. However, the two always somehow got back together.
On Mother’s Day in 2021, he even penned a heartfelt apology to her on social media, proving they were somehow still together despite the rumors of a pending divorce. After a couple of months, we heard that they were separated and on their way to a divorce.
Now, I don’t know about you, but to me, their relationship appeared to be rather rocky. Plus, they were in the process of a divorce for two years of the five they were married.
Anyway, some people believe Faith just had it out for Stevie. Since he was close friends with Diddy, there was no better time to send a message than now.
Most of Faith’s career has been marked by drama surrounding her personal life. From marrying The Notorious B.I.G. just two months after meeting him in 1995 to becoming the wronged party in an affair between her husband and Lil’ Kim to her mysterious association with Tupac Shakur, her life literally went from being normal to a hip-hop mystery.

As for the situation with Diddy, his lawyer is choosing to call the raid of his client’s home an “unprecedented ambush” and a “gross overuse of military-level force.” As expected, he’s still maintaining Diddy’s innocence even after his whereabouts became unknown to everyone, including law enforcement.
After his disappearance, speculation about where he might be began to pop up. The internet was raving about this news. Many followers kept an eye out for him and even replaced several slang words with “Diddy.”
Soon enough, some news outlets reported that he’d been stopped at an airport in Miami after the raids on his homes. According to them, he was preparing to leave for the Bahamas.
If you were hoping he was detained, he wasn’t. Since he wasn’t, hundreds of internet sleuths made it their mission to keep tracking his private jet.
Now, I must tell you that this has all sorts of illegal written all over it. But fans on social media are like sharks when they smell blood, and Diddy’s just happened to be the one they were seeking out. Antigua’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne even had to take the stage to tell the entire world that there didn’t appear to be any “credible information” that Diddy was anywhere on the Caribbean island.
If you’re wondering what Diddy had to say for himself concerning all these allegations, I’ve got you covered. According to him, he hasn’t done anything wrong.
But really, what were we expecting him to say? That he did everything he’s been accused of? Whether or not he’s willing to spill the beans, according to several lawsuits, allegations, and the very public search of his properties by US federal agents, he could be in quite a lot of trouble.
Stevie is Standing by His Friend
At least he’s got Stevie and several people by his side. TMZ recently got Stevie J in an interview to share his two cents on the issue. According to him, Diddy was innocent of all the allegations.
He even shared that he was very familiar with what Diddy’s parties were like. He admitted to attending a number of them, which is expected as they have a tight bond. However, he stated that instead of the questionable activities that the lawsuits claim allegedly happened at Diddy’s parties, they were just good parties where people came to turn up, socialize, and have a good time.
Once again, concerned internet users have collectively decided that Stevie is just saying and doing all of this to hide the parts he played in the activities that led to the lawsuit. All I can say is that it’s pretty difficult to tell the truth. However, with the receipts people have been dropping all over the internet, I find it hard to believe Stevie J isn’t in on it.
Whatever it might be, I hope that the investigation leads to a satisfactory ending where whoever deserves it is content with the outcome. For now, all we know is that Diddy hasn’t been arrested for any criminal conduct, but there’s a huge possibility that he might soon be according to legal experts.
It won’t be his first run-in with the law. A few years ago, he was released from jail several hours after his arrest. The reason for his arrest was an alleged assault with a weight-room kettlebell that occurred at the athletic facilities of the University of California, L.A., where his son Justin plays football.
Now, Diddy could spend more than just a few hours in prison if found guilty. Let’s all hope for the best.
