The backstory is that Katelyn and Kane had their third baby on June 18th. Another side to this story is that Katelynn celebrated her 32nd birthday on Wednesday, June 19th.
iHeartCountry reported that the new baby has two big sisters: 4-year-old Kingsley Rose and 2-year-old Kodi Jane. Kane and Katelyn also dropped a Christmas Day bombshell last year when they surprised fans by announcing that Katelyn was expecting again.
Kane And Katelyn Brown’s Gender Reveal
However, the most shocking part of Katelynn’s third pregnancy was the gender reveal, especially Kane and Katelynn’s reaction. On January 10, 2024, People.com reported what happened.
Kane and Katelyn posted a “behind-the-scenes” video on Tuesday, January 9th. Before the baby’s gender was revealed, Kane smiled at the camera and predicted that his third child would be another girl.
Then Kingsley appeared in the video, dressed in a scientist costume with goggles, and Katelyn asked her oldest daughter a question: Did Kingsley “want to find out” if there was a “boy or girl” in “Mommy’s tummy?”
The gender reveal involved cutting into a tasty-looking cake. People wrote that the single-layer cake was “either pink or blue in the middle,” with black frosting on top that said, “What will baby bee?” and “bees and lilies” as cake decorations.
Katelyn started counting down as the cake was cut, and People wrote that “the parents… were overjoyed to see blue inside.” Katelyn even shrieked with joy as she stared into the camera with a shocked look.
At the start of the video, Kane was sure he’d be the only guy in a house full of girls, and he looked emotional after the reveal as he pumped his “left fist into the air.” Kane was holding his middle child, Kodi, and People added that Kane hugged his daughter as the words “Baby boy Brown, coming 2024” appeared in the video.
The Browns received plenty of congratulations in the comments section of their video, and many famous friends like Jason Aldean wished Kane, Katelyn, and the girls all the best.
Jason congratulated Kane, calling him “lil bro!” Jason added, “Girls are the best, but glad you got your boy, too.”
Kane Brown’s Shocking Confessions
Three beautiful kids appear to be it for Kane and Katelyn, as Kane made a couple of shocking confessions earlier this year that were reported by Page Six.
This past March, Kane appeared on the Bobby Bones Show and admitted to Bobby that he and Katelyn hadn’t been “trying this time” to have another child. Kane also joked, “My game, if you know what I’m talking about, is strong.” But then Kane got shockingly serious.
He confessed that, at first, he “hoped” Katelyn was “wrong” about being pregnant again. Kane admitted how “scared” he was to have three kids, but he guessed it was “God’s plan.”
Kane wasn’t done dropping bombshells, either. During his interview with Bobby, he revealed that Katelyn had convinced him to “get neutered already,” which made the pregnancy news even more shocking.
Fans Perplexed By Katelyn Calling Her Son ‘Boyfriend’
People.com reported that Kane and Katelyn named their son Krewe Allen. Katelyn also called her new baby “my handsome little man” on social media, but during her first reveal of her new baby boy, Katelyn called Krewe something, and some fans thought that was twisted.
The Celeb Wives of Nashville on Reddit started a thread with a question: Katelyn Brown calling her son her “boyfriend?” Although the OP has since deleted their post, the comments remain, and the shock and disgust are off the charts.
Some of the top comments on this thread threw major shade at Katelyn for calling her son her “boyfriend.” The freaked-out comment with the most upvotes was, “Boy moms like this freak me the f out. How do you not feel weird saying things like this?!”
Someone else wondered what the fallout would be if “Kane, the dad,” posted something about his “newborn daughter,” where he called her “GIRLFRIEND.” They thought it was “such weird behavior,” and as “a boy mom and girl mom,” they didn’t get this [expletive!]
Many users agreed, and one wrote, “The double standards are WILD,” and it’s “just as creepy from a mom to a son. Ick.”
Someone else claimed, “We would think [Kane] is a total creep” if he called one of his daughters his “girlfriend.” However, this user brought up another point, alleging that Kane refers to Kingsley “as his best friend all the time,” adding, “That’s obviously appropriate.” But is it really?
Fans Throw Shade At Katelyn Brown
Shockingly, Katelyn also got slammed on this thread for calling “her oldest daughter her best friend,” and one user assumed that’s because Katelyn “favors” Kingsley over “poor Kodi.” They added that Kodi “always seems so neglected by her mom.” Isn’t Katelyn supposed to be a great mother?
Someone responded to the “poor Kodi” comment by claiming that Kodi seems “more reserved and less outgoing… than the oldest.” They think Kingsley “seems to turn on whenever there’s a camera,” while Kodi wonders, “Why is this thing in my face?”
Other users agreed that Katelyn’s “boyfriend” comment was strange, but they thought up excuses for it instead of just throwing Katelyn under the bus.
One user thought it was “definitely” strange, but they feel that Krewe is “probably” going to look like a “mini Kane,” so maybe that’s why Katelyn said it. They added, “Just call him your baby, not your boyfriend, LOL.”

Katelyn does have strong supporters on this subreddit, and one user called out the others for “saying it’s creepy and weird” for Katelyn to refer to Krewe as her “boyfriend.” They wrote that it “doesn’t dismiss the fact that [Katelyn] is a cool chick and good mom.”
The Celeb Wives are constantly slamming Brittany Aldean for pretty obvious reasons, and one user on this thread left a comment about Brittany vs. Katelyn.
They wrote that users on the subreddit “would go completely nuts” if Brittany posted a message calling her son Memphis her “boyfriend.” They added, “I’m definitely not saying [Katelyn’s] a bad mom,” but they do think “she’ll probably cringe later” and realize “what she said is weird.”
One comment on this thread made the most sense, especially when you remember how Kane and Katelyn were so shocked during Krewe’s gender reveal.
This comment began with, “Bless her. [Katelyn’s] just been in girl mode for so long,” that finally having a son “is hitting different for her.” They added, “We all know she didn’t mean it like that,” along with a suggestion to “show her some grace. She is a great mom and just excited.”
Users Got Into A Heated Debate
One user got into a heated debate with other Celeb Wives who were highly critical of Katelyn. They wrote, “Stop. Just stop,” and called Katelyn “a fantastic human and a great mom.” But that got other users fired up, and this user got downvoted, too.
Someone did stand up for them, writing, “Not sure why you are being downvoted for this.” They added, “Give [Katelyn] a break… she just birthed a human,” finishing with, “She’s probably tired out of her mind.”
The downvoted user responded to her supporter, and shockingly, she claimed that Katelyn is also her “client” in a follow-up comment. She alleged that Katelyn “is the nicest person” and “Country music, hands down.” Then they slammed everyone who slammed Katelyn.
They wrote, “Imagine you post a pic of your dog and get attacked by idiots.” They also slammed the platform and claimed, “Reddit is made up of girls that wish they could move here and be a country singer’s wife.” They added, “They can’t, so they spend their days hating on anyone that is.” Talk about a throwdown!
