Jeezy has finally spoken out after shocking statements made by his ex-wife in court. TMZ reported that new legal documents filed by TV host Jeannie Mai have made serious allegations about Jeezy’s behavior towards her during their marriage. This came after Jeezy protested the unfair amount of time he was allowed to spend with his and Jeannie’s daughter.
In response, Jeannie presented allegations of harm and dangerous behavior which cast doubts over Jeezy’s conduct. Jeannie presented alleged photo evidence to support her claims of physical harm. She also claimed that Jeezy is prone to explosive outbursts, excessive drinking, and even DV.
One incident Jeannie recalled in the court documents allegedly occurred in April 2022. She stated that the former couple were staying at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, California. She went on to claim that while she was walking up some stairs, Jeezy choked her from behind.
Jeannie accused him of then pushing her down the stairs. Hotel security allegedly arrived on the scene to intervene and take a report, which Jeannie claimed to have a copy of.
TMZ reported that while there was no explicit mention of choking, the report did cite arguments that the hotel security had to mediate between Jeannie and Jeezy. The report also acknowledged claims from a lounge server who was said to have seen Jeezy push Jeannie.
In a separate incident Jeannie cited in her court documents, Jeezy allegedly crashed a golf cart they were both sitting in. Jeannie claimed that this was the result of excessive drinking on Jeezy’s part.
She reportedly attached to this claim alleged text messages between her and her ex-husband which include images of her bruises from the crash. The texts themselves allegedly contain evidence of Jeezy apologizing for his actions.
Jeezy Wants More Custody Time with His Daughter
Some of the most shocking claims Jeannie made against Jeezy were about just how dangerous his behavior around the house was. She claimed that Jeezy would leave firearms all over the house with their daughter nearby. Jeannie even attached alleged photo evidence of the weapons Jeezy irresponsibly left lying around.
All of her claims were in support of Jeannie’s request to deny Jeezy more custody time with their daughter.
After her request was filed, Jeezy shared his reaction on social media. He posted a lengthy statement on Instagram in response to the stories that had emerged about him.
Jeezy wrote, “The allegations are not only false but also deeply disturbing, especially coming from someone I loved.” Jeezy went on to describe Jeannie’s accusations as a “malicious attempt to tarnish” his “character” and “disrupt his “family.” He called it “ridiculous.”
Jeezy finished his statement by doubling down on his intention to remain “an active father” to his daughter as he fights for joint custody.
USA Today reported that Jeannie had become concerned about letting their daughter spend more time with Jeezy. This was allegedly because he had “refused” to abide by a request in their mediated agreement to provide an inventory of all the firearms in his home.
The agreement also requested that Jeezy ensure the weapons were all secured before he was allowed parenting time with their child. Like all of Jeannie’s other claims against him, Jeezy has denied the accusation, describing Jeannie’s claims as “manipulation and deceit.”
Jeannie Still Loved Jeezy After Their Split
The rapper filed for divorce from Jeannie in September of last year, after two years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” A source talked to Page Six shortly after their split hit the headlines to share how Jeannie had been doing since the separation.
The source said that Jeannie still wanted her marriage to work and wanted her family to be one solid unit. The source added that Jeannie still “deeply” loved Jeezy and that getting divorced was not part of the plan for her, although, from the latest allegations in Jeannie’s legal documents, that may no longer be the case.

But a short time later, some rumors seemed to shed light on why Jeezy decided to walk away from Jeannie. A week after Jeezy filed for divorce, rumors emerged that Jeannie had cheated on him with actor and TV host Mario Lopez.
The speculation arose after Jeannie guest hosted on Mario’s show Access Hollywood. Fans remarked on the obvious chemistry between them and theorized that there might be more to their relationship than just being colleagues.
It didn’t take long for Jeannie’s team to come out with a response to the rumors. They immediately tried to shut them all down.
Sources told TMZ that there was absolutely no truth to any rumblings of infidelity between Jeannie and Mario, or anyone else. The sources also added that any perceived chemistry between them was simply professional. They emphasized that Jeannie was still “heartbroken” over Jeezy and focused on doing whatever was best for their daughter.
Jeezy Exposed Jeannie in His New Song
However, some wild developments have brought accusations of infidelity back into the conversation around the couple’s split. Fans were in meltdown after Jeezy released a new song that appeared to comment on his failed marriage.
The rapper’s new double album, I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget, already had a pretty shady title. But the name of one of the singles on the album only made things look worse for Jeannie. The song, called Don’t Cheat, seemed to be Jeezy’s way of expressing his truth about their divorce.
In the song, Jeezy cleared his own name of infidelity. He rapped about earning money while Jeannie slept and claimed that real men don’t cheat. It wasn’t long before listeners were drawing their own conclusions, commenting that Jeezy’s latest music was proof that Jeannie was to blame for their divorce.
Entertainment Tonight gave a different explanation for what happened between Jeannie and Jeezy. Apparently, the divorce came about because the two disagreed when it came to certain family values and expectations. They reportedly had different views and felt like their needs were not being completely met.
More recently, both parties have spoken publicly about their breakup. Jeezy broke his silence by releasing an official statement after Jeannie made several public appearances.
In his statement, he said that the decision to end this chapter of his life “had not been made impulsively.” He added that it did come with a “heavy heart.”
However, Jeezy chose not to reveal any damning information that painted his ex in a bad light. Despite deciding to divorce her, his love and respect for Jeannie remained. He claimed that the time they spent together would hold a cherished place in his heart.
Like Jeannie, he went on to talk about their daughter and described her as his main focus. He called her the best gift from their relationship. He said he was committed to making sure that she felt the love and stability she deserved.
The Couple Faced Cultural Issues
More recently, however, an interview with Nia Long gave Jeezy an opportunity to share a different side to his story. According to him, many of the issues between Jeezy and Jeannie had allegedly been “cultural” issues. For example, Jeezy struggled with Jeannie’s decision to move her family members into their Atlanta mansion, which was totally normal for her.
When Nia asked if the former couple had tried therapy, Jeezy confirmed that they had. Unfortunately, he claimed that it didn’t actually help.

Clues about what Jeezy felt went wrong in his marriage might be found in the title of his newest album. For her part, Jeannie chose to address the drama through public platforms and TV shows.
She appeared on Sherri Shepherd’s Sherri show to comment on the ongoing divorce. She opened up about how hard the process has been on her.
Now, it seems like she’s focused on doing her talking in the courtroom. Neither she nor Jeezy appear to want to hold back on telling their truth about their crumbling relationship.
At this point, it seems that they’re both focused on their daughter, Monaco. However, it’s clear that this is also the cause of a lot of their current drama.
Only time will tell what happens next, and if any more serious allegations come out about either Jeezy or Jeannie. For now, we will just have to wait and see if they want to share anything else.
