Jimmie Allen has one less lawsuit after his former manager dropped her lawsuit against him. According to USA Today, the filer, who referred to herself as Jane Doe, dropped her lawsuit against Jimmie for an abuse crime she said he committed between the years of 2020 and 2022. She was working for Jimmie as his day-to-day manager at the time.
After learning about the lawsuit, Jimmie countersued his former manager. He accused her of defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy.
Initially, the two had talked about using mediation to solve the issue. A date hasn’t been settled on, however.
Instead of a mediation, something else happened to the lawsuits. On March 14th, the court received a proposed order that showed both Jimmie and Jane intended to drop their lawsuits.
The order hasn’t been finalized yet; however, as U.S. District Judge William Campbell still has to enter an order of dismissal. That shouldn’t take too long to happen if both parties are serious about dropping their lawsuits.
Jane’s lawsuit claimed that Jimmie had harassed her and done things to her against her will while she was working as his manager. Jimmie admitted that they had a relationship, but everything they had done was consensual.
Jane Had Filed Multiple Lawsuits
Jane isn’t only suing Jimmie, either. She’s also filed a lawsuit against Wide Open Music, which hired her to manage Jimmie. She filed a third lawsuit against Wide Open Music’s founder, Ash Bowers.
Jane claimed that the company and Ash failed to protect her after learning about the abuse that was going on. While Jane has dropped the lawsuit against Jimmie, she hasn’t dropped the lawsuits against Wide Open Music and Ash Bowers.

In his defense, Ash claimed that he didn’t know about the alleged abuse until he had received the lawsuit from Jane. When they learned about the allegation, Ash had his company immediately fire Jimmie.
It wasn’t the only company to drop Jimmie, either. Once the allegation started working its way through the media, Jimmie’s label, BBR Music Group, also fired him. His talent agency, United Talent Agency, also stopped representing him.
Only One of Jimmie’s Lawsuits Has Been Dropped
The allegations have also impacted his tours. CMA Fest had Jimmie as one of the leading performances in 2023. They pulled him out of the show, once the allegations became public.
This has all taken place only two years after the CMA named him New Artist of the Year. Even the Academy of Country Music named him New Male Artist of the Year.

While Jane’s lawsuit may be out of the way, a second lawsuit was filed against Jimmie for a similar crime. It was filed about a month after Jane’s lawsuit and claimed that Jimmie had abused the woman in a Las Vegas hotel room.
He had also recorded her while they were doing things without her knowledge. This allegedly happened back in July 2022.
Jimmie also countersued this woman, claiming that she had stolen his phone and given it to the police. That lawsuit has yet to be dropped and is still ongoing.
To make matters worse for Jimmie, all of these allegations came out shortly after it was made public that he and his wife, Alexis Gale, had separated. It’s been a rough past few years for Jimmie, and the public will have to wait and see what comes of the second lawsuit against him.
