John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are one of Hollywood’s favorite couples, and have recently welcomed a new member to their ever-growing family. After meeting on the set of John Legend’s music video for “Stereo”, where Teigen played the role of his romantic interest, the pair soon began a romantic relationship for real.

After dating for a few years, they got married in September of 2013. But while they’ve welcomed 4 children into their family within the past few years since tying the knot, including two in 2023, this new addition isn’t another child, but an adorable cat instead.

Who is John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s Newest Family Member?
In a recent Instagram weekly update post about her children and family, Teigen revealed that the family has added a new hairless cat to the family. It seems her children are also very excited about the cat, as 16-month old Esti is seen lovingly carrying the animal in the video. It seems to be a well-behaved cat as well, as it lets the child carry her around without a problem.
Having a family pet is not only cute and adds a lot of joy in life, but it’s also great for teaching children about responsibility, to care for others, and more.
Not much is known about the cat yet, and Teigen doesn’t address the cat by name at all in the video. The comments of her post were full of messages about how cute the cat was, and how fans can’t wait to learn the name that the family picked for it.
John and Chrissy’s Love for Animals
This isn’t the first pet the family shares, as they’ve been pet parents several times over the years, beginning all the way back in 2008 when they got their first dog together.
Since then, they’ve added plenty more into their household, and currently have 4 dogs. They’re named Pearl, Penny, Petey, and Pebbles. Due to these names, it’s a safe bet to assume their new pet cat may have a name that starts with “P”.
But in addition to the relatively standard dogs and a cat, the family also have had other pets including a hamster and a bearded dragon. They also took care of Teigen’s father’s bird for a brief period of time.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s Pet Food Business
In addition to being pet lovers, the pair has also recently launched a joint pet food business venture called Kismet. Kismet stands for fate or destiny, and the couple chose the name to signify the fact that many pet parents feel a deep connection with their pet, one that almost feels like they were made for each other.
It sells a couple different flavors of food, as well as a selection of different treats. The couple created it to build a community all about dog culture for the many pet parents across the country to be able to connect with one another.
It seems as if pets have been a big part of their lives for years, and this will continue with their brand new cat.
