Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry has shared never-before-seen pictures of her baby daughter, Valley, for the first time. The US Sun reported that Kailyn posted the photo on her Instagram Stories after bringing Valley home from the NICU.
The image showed the reality star’s baby girl lying asleep on Kailyn’s stomach, wearing a pink and yellow onesie, while Kailyn cradled her in one hand. In the caption, Kailyn wrote, “Send me your fav small shops for girls/babies,” followed by a text box for suggestions from her followers.
Kailyn welcomed Valley and her twin brother Verse back in November last year. However, as reported in The Sun, her daughter had to stay in the NICU for weeks after being born. In the last few months, Kailyn has been more and more candid about her experience with Valley.
In a TikTok video, the 31-year-old shared the news of her daughter joining the rest of her family in their home. Kailyn revealed that she had called the hospital at 6.30 in the morning to check on Valley and was “so excited” to find out that she would be getting discharged.
She shared that she had hoped to get Valley back to the house before the rest of her kids got home from school. But because of the “hour-long drive” to the NICU followed by a 45-minute wait, it “didn’t work out that way.”
Nonetheless, Kailyn said she was just “super excited and ready for her to come home” and “have all seven kids under one roof” for the first time. She got emotional, saying she “could literally cry,” before tearing up while “trying to hold it together.”
Kailyn Has Been More Open with Sharing the Twins with Fans
Kailyn had previously documented the emotional toll Valley’s time in the NICU had taken on her in another video. The video showed Kailyn after visiting her daughter.
At one point, after holding up Valley’s onesie for the camera, she is seen breaking down over leaving her. Through her tears, she assured fans that Valley was “definitely making progress,” but added that “it’s not always super easy.”
The US Sun reported that she had talked on her Barely Famous podcast about Valley not showing “signs of hunger” during feeding times. She went on to say, “I cried a lot. I probably cried more with the NICU journey than the c-section stuff”.
The recent photo is a mark of how much more open Kailyn has been about sharing Valley with her fans, having previously been a lot more private. Even her pregnancy with the twins was initially kept a secret. However, over time, she has been more comfortable revealing details about her sixth and seventh children.

In another TikTok video, she talked about how she decided on their unusual names. She explained that Verse’s name was inspired by Allen Iverson, whom her partner Lincoln was a “huge” fan of. Kailyn also explained that she chose Valley as a tribute to Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, where she grew up.
