Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn, held a gender reveal party on Tuesday, January 9th.
They announced on Instagram that they were expecting a baby on Christmas Day. Their new baby is due sometime in 2024. This will be Kane and Katelyn’s third child together. They have two daughters, 4-year-old Kingsley Rose and 2-year-old Kodi Jane.

Their gender reveal announcement was captured in an Instagram video. The video had a caption in the middle, asking viewers the question, “What do you think it is?”
As the video starts, Katelyn has the camera pointed at Kane as he’s wandering around her in the kitchen. She asked her husband what gender he thought their baby would be. Kane is smiling as he mumbled, “It’s a girl.” As the only guy in a house full of girls, 30-year-old Kane seems to have convinced himself they were having another one.
Then their eldest daughter, Kingsley, entered the room. Katelyn said to Kinsley, “We have a surprise.” Katelyn told her, “We know if the baby in mommy’s tummy is a boy or a girl.” Then Katelyn asked her oldest daughter, “Do you want to find out?”
Kingsley sounded excited when she replied, “Yeah!”
What Will The Baby Bee?
Katelyn explained to Kingsley how the gender reveal announcement would be going down. The camera revealed a cake on the table, and Katelyn asked her daughter, “See that cake right there?” Katelyn told Kingsley the cake would be blue or pink in the middle. And Katelyn asked her excited-looking daughter, “Do you want to cut into it with us?”
A funny side note in the gender reveal video is that Kingsley is seen wearing goggles like she’s ready if she gets messy cutting into the cake. Kingsley looked up at the camera and said, “Yeah!” It was like she couldn’t wait to cut into that cake.
There’s a close-up of the top of the cake in the video, and you can see a message on the cake that says, “What will the baby bee?” Then you can hear Katelyn counting 1, 2, 3… before they cut into the cake.
Suddenly, Katelyn screamed and jumped up with a shocked look on her face.
There’s a shot of everyone sitting at the kitchen table, and Kane is there, holding his youngest daughter, Kodi, in his lap. While Kane didn’t say anything out loud in the video, he pumped his fist in the air like a symbol of triumph.
Then the camera moves in to capture the color inside that cake, and you can see blue. Their third child is a boy! Kane is also captured getting emotional as he hugs his little girl, and Katelyn wraps Kingsley in a hug.
The Couple Received an Outpouring of Support
After Katelyn posted her video on Instagram, the comments section filled up quickly with congratulations from fans, friends, and country music superstars.
Dee Jay Silver, a musician friend of Kane, wrote, “It was the goggles for me!!! Love all this.”
Country star Russell Dickerson and his wife, Kailey, are friends of Kane and Katelyn. Russell and Kailey had their second child, Radford, in October 2023.

Kailey also hosts a podcast called Coffee with Kailey. Kailey made her own prediction in the comments section of Katelyn’s video, writing, “I. Can. Not. Radford’s future BFF.”
Taylor Lautner became famous as a star of the Twilight movies, while his wife, Taylor Dome, is a nurse.
Lautner commented “Wow” several times on Katelyn’s Instagram, while Taylor Dome wrote, “OMG!!! Congrats y’all!”
Jason Alden even popped into the comments section, writing, “Congrats, lil bro! Girls are the best, but glad you got your boy, too. So happy for y’all, Kane and Katelyn.”
