During the interview with Nessa, the host described the lyrics of the song as “alarming.” The song goes into how Kehlani and the unnamed ex were “little more than friends.” They didn’t have a label on what they were, but the betrayal still hurt.

Kehlani Offers Advice To 19-Year-Olds
Kehlani went on to share how there were some crazier things that happened in the relationship but didn’t elaborate about them. The situation never came up in their relationship, but now the truth is out there in the form of a song and a radio interview.
The R&B singer went on to offer advice to other 19-year-olds to watch out for what their being pulled into. It’s easy to get “spun up in some s***.” However, they don’t care what their exes are up to, putting focus on their own happiness.
