Are Keke Palmer and her ex getting back together? Earlier this month, fans were shocked to see the movie star and her baby daddy Darius Jackson in public again after their wild breakup. What’s more, Media Take Out also reported that they’re actually expecting their second child together.
On August 13th, a photo surfaced online showing Keke and Darius spending time together with their son Leodis at the zoo. In the wholesome picture, the young boy can be seen laughing with Keke while Darius smiles at the camera. On Leodis’s Instagram account, a series of photos showed them enjoying the sights of the animals in what looks like a classic family outing.
The caption, written from the perspective of Leodis, read, “You can’t tell, but I loved it. I had a fun day at the zoo! I’m grateful. Hope you guys had a good weekend!”
However, despite the happy images on display, neither Keke nor Darius’s Instagram accounts posted the same pictures. But, according to sources close to the former couple, Keke and Darius are no longer fighting.
In fact, they’ve both reportedly dropped their restraining orders against each other. There’s even been a rumor circulating that they’re on better terms now than anyone could have expected.
Allegedly, Keke is pregnant with their second child. This rumor started after a picture of the ex-couple with their son appeared to show Keke displaying a small belly bump. However, nothing about the rumor has been confirmed yet.
Darius Allegedly Mistreated Keke
Whether the story of another baby is true or not, fans are shocked to see the pair reunited. The post marked an incredible turnaround from where Keke and Darius were just a few months ago.
According to US Weekly, Keke filed for a temporary restraining order on November 9th of last year. The same day, she asked for full custody of the former couple’s 8-month-old son.
To support her requests, Keke alleged that DV incidents had occurred between them in the past. For example, there was an incident from February 13th, 2022, that Keke said was recorded on home security footage.
Images from that incident are now being shared online. In the pictures, Darius appeared to grab Keke.
In the legal filings, Keke alleged that Darius was jealous because she shared a photo of herself wearing a bikini. Keke also claimed that Darius entered her home and mistreated her at one point. Based on these allegations, the judge granted a temporary restraining order to both Keke and their son.
Before that, their families started sharing their own stories about the situation online. Darius’s brother, Sarunas, was one of the first to chime in.
In an online post, he wrote that we would all see and should just send positive energy to the baby, as any child in the middle of something like this does not deserve it. Sarunas finished by writing that it was all so sad.
He later deleted his remarks. However, the post was screengrabbed and shared by The Shade Room. It has since garnered tens of thousands of likes.
The Couple Began Having Problems After Leodis Was Born
In response, Keke was defended by her mom, Sharon. She wrote that Sarunas never intervened in what happened between Keke and his brother.
Sharon claimed that she had gone to Sarunas over a year ago and told him that Darius was mistreating Keke. She went on to allege that his response to her was that he used to be like that, too.
Sharon added that now Sarunas was posting on Twitter like he was some special guy, which she claimed everyone knew wasn’t the case. She finished by stating that Sarunas was disrespectful to women just like his brother.

Keke and Darius started dating in 2021 and welcomed their son, Leodis, in February 2023. A few months later, rumors started spreading that the couple had been facing problems in their relationship.
Darius took to Twitter to criticize what Keke wore to an Usher concert in Las Vegas. Keke documented how much fun she was having at the show on her Instagram story.
She was also filmed by other fans in attendance at the show. A video taken by a fan soon went viral online in which Keke could be seen hugging and slow dancing with Usher.
An account believed to be Darius’s own soon commented on the video, writing, “It’s the outfit tho… you a mom.” In a separate post, Darius wrote that he was being called a hater simply for having standards and morals.
Although he didn’t publicly address Keke’s latest legal filing, Darius recently shared a picture of himself holding his son on Twitter. In the caption, he wrote, “I love you, son. See you soon.”
Leodis Goes Everywhere with Keke
Honestly, the whole saga was pretty horrible for a long time. Fans had Keke’s back throughout, and she has managed to put a brave face on in public ever since.
The one person who has done more to keep her going than anyone else has to be her baby boy. In an interview with People Magazine just recently, Keke opened up about his constant presence by her side. She said that the one-year-old went “every-single-where” with her and described him as “the funniest.”

She also joked that he was like her business partner because he was “smooth with the execs” at Keke’s many engagements. In more sincere mode, Keke went on to say that she was just “having fun watching him grow.”
The actress said that she was very grateful to be able to have the experience of raising him. Being a mother was something she always wanted in her life.
She stopped herself from saying that parenthood had its ups and downs, choosing instead to say there were challenges. That was just because she wanted to make sure that she always showed up for her baby.
The Family May Be Rebuilding Their Bond
In meeting the challenges, Keke felt like she had also grown as a person. She said that it had pushed her to become a more precise version of herself, which she thought of as the process of parenthood.
No matter how long the process was, Keke was sure that Leodis would still be right by her side. She said that his closeness to her was “the greatest thing” to her, and something she was always trying to maintain.
Keke also acknowledged that this was one of the privileges of having a career like hers that allowed her to keep him near her at all times. She explained, “I’m working, but you know, you’re here and we’re here together and just to serve as an example for him, that’s just important to me.”
With Keke and Leodis seemingly joined at the hip, Darius has claimed for a long time to be desperate to get some time with his son. Although he has declared his love for Leodis online, his other posts have probably been stopping him from gaining more access.
But judging by the recent posts of Keke, Leo, and Darius together, that barrier might just be falling away.
