Lauryn Efird “Pumpkin” Exposes Mama June

Following the loss of sister, Anna, Pumpkin has turned on Mama June and sided with Alana in their ongoing dispute over her earnings as a young star.

Alana has accused Mama June of owing her a large sum of money, but the crisis the family experienced put the issue on hold for a while.

What did Pumpkin actually have to say about the matter, now that Alana has brought it back up? Here’s the scoop:

Pumpkin Pulls No Punches 

Mama June‘s questionable use of Alana’s (Honey Boo Boo) share of the money she earned as a child star has become a hot topic within her family circle.

Now, Alana’s sister Pumpkin (Lauryn) has turned on Mama June and begun demanding that she return the money that belongs to Alana.

Alana brought up her issues with covering the costs of going to college and asked her sister if she should bring up the issue of the money her mother owed her. According to People, her words were:

“I don’t really have the money for the rent and school in the fall. Is it too soon to bring it up to Mama?” 

To this, Pumpkin responded in support of her and later pointed out that Mama June could end up losing another child if she didn’t make things right. People reported her stating:

“When Anna was sick, we all agreed as a family that all the drama that we had going on, that we were gonna push all of that to the side. But now that Anna has passed, it’s time for Alana to ask for the money back.

Honestly, if Mama doesn’t give her the money back, it’s gonna be stupid, because you’ve already lost one kid, why lose another?” 

Mama June’s Husband, Justin, Is On Alana And Pumpkin’s Side

Mama June’s husband, Justin, also seems to be on Alana and Pumpkin’s side. He has publicly expressed how he wants her to make things right with Alana and give her what she’s owed.

Unfortunately, his pleas for his wife to do the right thing have mostly fallen on deaf ears. Instead, Mama June has continued to spend money on things like big vacations.

People reported Justin stating:

“I know my wife is blind, but does she really think that I’m blind too and don’t see what’s going on? 

I don’t wanna think that she’s being shady, but who the hell knows anymore.”

Pumpkin pointed out that Mama June‘s plans for a special trip to spread Anna’s ashes are questionable, considering that she still owes Alana money. People reported her saying:

“Mama these days is just so out of touch with reality, it’s insane. 

She wants to fund this entire Florida trip to go down and spread Anna’s ashes, which I’m okay with, but it’s like, you must think that we forgot that you still owe Alana money.” 

Was Mama June in the Wrong?

As for Mama June‘s perspective, she seems to believe that she’s done nothing wrong. She was reported by ET Online to have followed the advice of other parents of young stars and simply put a small portion of Alana’s earnings into her savings account.

ET Online reported that Alana wasn’t aware of how her mother had spent her earnings. She said:

“I thought that 100 percent of that money was going into that account, so I thought once I got old enough that I could really sit on my @$$ for the four years that I’m in college because I worked so long. 

I worked, I was six, and a lot of people cannot say that. So I worked really hard for what I have and the money that I have, so I was assuming or under the assumption she put 100 percent of the money in there, but that’s not how that worked.”
