Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean recently flew to St. Louis on a private plane and had to make an emergency landing on the way back. MSN reported that, over the weekend, Luke did a live stream with Jason on Instagram, where they described the scary incident in detail. The emergency landing happened on Friday evening, January 12th.

Although Luke called the incident “tense,” and Jason said he feared the plane was falling out of the sky, they both seemed to be recovering well when Luke recorded the live stream. The live stream happened when they were going through a Dairy Queen drive-thru.
Luke Claimed That It Was Only 16 Degrees in St. Louis
Luke said that he and Jason went duck hunting in the morning. Then, they flew to St. Louis on a private aircraft. Luke confirmed that the plane landed safely. Luke said that he and Jason performed at the ATA show with Buck Commander in St. Louis. The ATA show stands for Archery Trade Association, and the ATA show is an annual event.
Jason said that the flight home was supposed to take just 30 minutes. He thought to himself that it would be “Easy, easy.” After the plane departed St. Louis, there was an alleged equipment malfunction. Luke appeared to blame some of the malfunctioning equipment on the frigid temperatures.
He said during the livestream, “It was so cold in St. Louis.” Luke claimed it was just sixteen degrees outside, and the wind was blowing about 40 miles per hour. He said that “some of the instruments on the plane were not working,” so the plane had to turn around for an emergency landing.
Luke said, “Yeah. It was a little tense.”

Jason even admitted that he feared the plane “was gonna fall out the sky.”
After they landed safely, Luke and Jason decided to rent a car and turn the journey home into a road trip. It sounded like Luke and Jason were in good spirits about everything during their livestream at the Dairy Queen. According to MSN, Luke even admitted to their location during the livestream. He said, “Now we’re on I-55 at a Dairy Queen.”
Luke giggled during the livestream when he admitted that Jason was driving the rental car. Jason can be heard joking, “That’s ‘cause I don’t trust you to drive, actually.”
Luke and Jason Made the Best of a Bad Situation
Fans online expressed relief that Luke and Jason were okay after that harrowing situation in the air. One fan on Instagram wrote, “Can you imagine these two pulling up in the drive-thru?” Around 11,000 of Luke’s Instagram followers were online to watch the live stream.
Fans even got some inside information on what Luke and Jason ordered at the Dairy Queen since Luke kept the live stream going when they were at the drive-thru. Jason ordered first. He got a regular cheeseburger with cheese and pickles only, fries, and a Coke to wash it down. He also ordered a six-piece basket of chicken strips. Luke’s order sounded plain and simple. He asked for a number one with Coke.
Luke and Jason had to make the best of a bad situation and ended up joking on Instagram that it was an “amazing day.”

Taste of Country solved the mystery of what Luke ordered at the drive-through. Someone from the outlet did a quick search of the Dairy Queen menu online. According to DQ’s website, the number one that Luke ordered was a cheeseburger with bacon. Taste of Country also did the math and said that Luke and Jason’s meal came to $29.78. During the livestream, It looked like Luke treated Jason to Dairy Queen.
Luke has new music and a new tour planned for this year. He’s also wrapping up his successful residency in Las Vegas. While Jason went through a professional scandal last year with his “Try That In A Small Town” controversy, according to NPR, he did manage to escape the winter weather over the holidays by taking a tropical vacation with his family at his beach house in the Turks and Caicos.
