Kim Kardashian is one of the most powerful reality stars in the world. She holds a ton of influence, while also getting a lot of hate. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is used to the negativity by now, but there is one person she probably didn’t expect to be her biggest critic.
Kim Kardashian gave birth to her first child, North West, in 2013. At the time, Kim was in a relationship with rapper Kanye West. Kim and Kanye married in 2014 and divorced eight years later.
Now 11 years old, North West has become a major part of Kim’s reality TV stardom. More importantly, Kim isn’t afraid to use North for publicity. Kanye even had North appear in a music video at only one year old.

A lot has changed since then, and North is now seen as a key part of the Kardashian family’s continued success on TV. She has also achieved a fair bit of success on her own, lending her voice to a character in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie. Additionally, North sang alongside her dad in a recent album.
Despite her young age, North West has a very no-nonsense approach to Keeping Up With the Kardashians. One of the great things about children is that they have no filter and will say exactly what they think. That is in stark contrast to the rest of the Kardashian clan who often put on fake faces to appease each other on the show.
Calling Out the Lies
A recent example of the young star’s blunt truthfulness came in an episode filmed before the 2023 Met Gala. In season 4, episode 9, Kylie and Kendall were talking about their dresses.
Kim told Kendall that she loved her dress and that Kendall looked great. However, North revealed that her mother later said she didn’t like how she looked.
This is admittedly a pretty tame example of how Kim lies. Very few people are going to tell a friend or family member that they look bad, so this made for a pretty entertaining moment.
The most surprising part of the episode came in a behind-the-scenes clip when Kim seemingly corrects North for ratting her out to Kendall. She specifically says “You need to have some like loyalty. When mommy talks shit about people, you cannot go tell them.”
There is a lot to unpack there, but most notable is the fact that loyalty may be a difficult topic to get through to an 11-year-old. Not to mention, Kendall is literally North’s aunt. It’s not like she ratted her mom out to a stranger.
Plus, this is literally over something as superficial as what dress looks best. The most shocking part may have been Kim defends how she “talks shit about people.”
As crazy as it sounds, that wasn’t the end of the story. North later took to social media and posted a reel on Instagram with clips from the episode. Fans went crazy in the comments section, as many called out Kim’s toxic behavior.
