The Real Reason Morgan Wallen Deactivated His Instagram

Morgan Wallen has received plenty of negative publicity again this year for a shocking stunt he pulled, although his fans continue to support their favorite country music superstar.

But Morgan quietly did something else recently, and his fans certainly weren’t expecting this.

Morgan Wallen Deleted His IG Profile ‘With No Explanation’

Taste of Country spilled the tea on June 24th that Morgan left Instagram. Their article started with the question, “Why did Morgan Wallen deactivate his Instagram page?”

Billy Dukes of Taste of Country wrote that Morgan “is no longer on Instagram” and that Morgan “seemingly deleted” his IG profile during the weekend of June 22 and 23rd “with no explanation.”

Billy added that Morgan’s “team” received his “request for an explanation,” but they never responded. Billy also wondered if Morgan’s Instagram page had been hacked or if he’d suffered from a “technical glitch.” Taste of Country reported that Morgan’s fans have “other theories.”

Is Morgan Releasing New Music?

Some of Morgan’s fans think he’s doing an “early promotion” for “new music” or an “event.”

Billy wrote, “This kind of thing is not unheard of,” and he mentioned other Country music groups like The Band Perry, who’d wiped out their “previous social media posts” on two separate occasions before they released new music.

Morgan also teased new music recently, sharing online that he was releasing “Lies, Lies, Lies” on July 4th. But there’s another side to the story about why Morgan might have jumped off Instagram.

Morgan Wallen’s Friend, Ernest, Deactivated His Instagram Account, Too

Taste of Country reported that Morgan’s friend and songwriting partner, ERNEST, also left Instagram at basically the same time, and there’s something else fishy about this move.

According to Taste of Country, Morgan and ERNEST “still have active profiles on X and Facebook,” and they are both signed to Big Loud Records.

But even though their Facebook and X profiles are allegedly “active,” Taste of Country confirmed that Morgan and ERNEST haven’t posted to X “in several weeks.”

Fans Have A Theory Why Morgan Deactivated IG Account

ERNEST did share a Facebook video in June, but shockingly, Morgan hasn’t posted on Facebook since the end of May. Taste of Country wrote that Morgan’s fans have a “second theory.”

Do you believe Morgan could be “upset” about “something?” Some of his fans think he left Instagram because he got ticked off about “something,” and even though this sounds crazy, fans think that ERNEST left Instagram to back Morgan up.

What does Morgan have to be “upset” about? Taste of Country wrote, “There is really not any tangible evidence to suggest a professional disagreement” with the record label, so the second theory doesn’t make sense.

Is Morgan Wallen And Team Fed Up With The Haters?

But wait for it because there’s one more rumor floating around.

Taste of Country reported “one final theory.” Morgan (or, more likely, his “team”) is getting impatient with all the haters throwing shade at him on social media. Taste of Country confirmed that Morgan’s fans are “remarkably supportive.” Still, the critical comments are growing, and the theory is that it’s much of a hassle for Morgan’s team to keep putting out fires on his social media.

Morgan might have dropped a bombshell hint to his fans and followers earlier in June, and Taste of Country reported all the details on Wednesday, June 19th.

Morgan Wallen’s Life Update and Confessions

Taste of Country wrote that Morgan surprised fans and followers on social media with a “life update.” While Morgan did confess some serious stuff, his Instagram Stories video looked casual.

Morgan was sitting in a car as he revealed “what he’s been up to.” He started the video by asking everyone watching him, “What’s going on?”

Morgan smiled as he admitted he’d been “in the studio for the past couple of days.” He also admitted he hadn’t been online “in a long time,” and Morgan said, “So, uh, here I am.”

He claimed he was “mostly just laying low and staying out of trouble” following his shocking arrest for allegedly tossing a chair off the balcony of Eric Church’s bar in downtown Nashville. At least Morgan isn’t lonely right now because he did mention a special someone.

He admitted, “I’ve just been hanging with my kid.” Morgan added that he was “making music, golfing, and swimming,” and Taste of Country also reported that Morgan “previously posted a photo” from a recording session with a “chef emoji” to indicate he was “cooking up” some great new music.

He finished his brief video update by reassuring his fans that “everything’s all good,” and Morgan ended it with, “I’ll see y’all real soon.”

Morgan Wallen’s Arrest

Morgan sounded more apologetic following his April 7th arrest at the honky-tonk bar on Broadway called Chief’s. Taste of Country confirmed that Morgan “expressed remorse for his actions on social media.”

Morgan didn’t go on video in April but posted a message that he “didn’t feel right publicly checking in” until he “made amends with some folks.” Is that really good enough right now?

Morgan explained that he’d “touched base” with the Metro Nashville Police Department. This was a wise move, considering the chair Morgan allegedly tossed off the balcony landed far too close to Metro Nashville officers stationed on Broadway on April 7th.

He also revealed that he’d checked in with his family “and the good people at Chief’s.” Morgan claimed he was “not proud” of his actions and was accepting responsibility. The problem is that Morgan’s alleged overdrinking might be causing all this.

Morgan’s ‘Drinking Is A ‘Problem That Keeps Coming Around’

Sources with inside knowledge who were at Chief’s that night alleged that Morgan drank too much before he tossed the chair off the roof, and Page Six reported that Morgan’s “drinking is a ‘problem that keeps coming around.’”

Page Six claimed that Morgan’s representatives “didn’t immediately return their request for comment,” and they quoted a source who told People.com that Morgan is “a nice, fun person to hang out with,” at least until he starts drinking and “doesn’t know when to stop.”

The source added that Morgan’s drinking “keeps coming back around.” Page Six published other details that back up this source’s allegations.

Page Six confirmed that Morgan was “previously arrested” for “public intoxication” in 2020. In 2021, a video leaked to social media of Morgan shouting expletives and the N-word late at night in his driveway. At that point, Morgan’s family and team tried to get him help.

Page Six reported that Morgan “spent 30 days in a treatment center” after the shocking video went public. Although Morgan “issued a public apology” for his racist comments, he was briefly “suspended by his record label.”

How Eric Church’s Bar Handled The Morgan Wallen Incident

Is Morgan’s superstar status making it too hard for him to get a grip on reality? Taste of Country reported how Eric Church’s bar handled the car-tossing incident, and while this sounds funny at first, it’s also pretty shocking.

Taste of Country wrote that Chief’s “made light of the situation” and chose to “have fun with their customers.” Anyone who visits the rooftop now will see a new sign, “DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, YOU ARE NOT MORGAN WALLEN.” But that’s not all, and what Morgan did recently is pretty crazy, considering his alleged “problems.”

He branded his name and image to TC Restaurant Group in Nashville. On June 1st, Morgan’s new establishment, This Bar and Tennessee Kitchen opened on Nashville’s “Honky Tonk Highway.”

Morgan’s Love Triangle With Ex-Fiance, KT (Katie) Smith

Another rumor about Morgan involves shocking allegations of a love triangle with his ex-fiance, KT (Katie) Smith. KT is also the mother of Morgan’s son, Indigo.

People.com reported on April 10th that KT “married her current partner just days before” Morgan got arrested. Many fans and followers blame KT’s elopement on Morgan’s bad behavior at Chief’s. So, what’s the real truth?

People confirmed that Morgan and KT “began dating in 2016 and got engaged a few months later.” Although they quickly broke off their engagement, People added that Morgan and KT “were on and off for a few more years” but were no longer together when Indigo was born in July 2020.

Morgan revealed exclusively to People in January 2021 that it wasn’t easy “having a kid with someone you’re not with,” but he also claimed he was “thankful” to have a son “with someone I care about.” The shocking new rumor is Morgan still cares about KT more than he realizes.

KT got engaged to a younger guy named Luke Scornavacco this past March. People reported that KT announced her elopement with Luke “that same week,” and it was “just days before Morgan’s arrest.”

Multiple sources online say this new rumor is false, and if Morgan did drink too much, it wasn’t because KT married someone else. Morgan has yet to prove that he can control his drinking, but hopefully, he’ll be back soon with new music while he lays low and tries to stay out of trouble.
