Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced she was expecting her first child with Ken Urker early in July 2024. Sources say that she told husband Ryan Anderson of the pregnancy before sharing with everyone else.
Blanchard filed for divorce from Anderson in April 2024. She will deal with the divorce proceedings while dealing with pregnancy. A source told Us Magazine that Anderson is still “in love” with Blanchard, but he respects her wishes.
Ryan Anderson Feels Like Ken Urker Stole His Life
While Anderson wishes the best for Blanchard, he is sad due to the circumstances of Blanchard’s happy news. He reportedly feels like 31-year-old Ken stole his life. He is still partly in love with his wife. While he knew the announcement was coming, it still hurt. He has been down about the situation since Blanchard told him the truth.
The two have been married for two years. They married while Blanchard was still in prison for asking her boyfriend at the time to kill her mom, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. Many will know of Gypsy Rose due to the Hulu series The Act, starring Joey King. Gypsy Rose was a victim of Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, with her mother making her sick to gain attention and sympathy. Her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, killed Dee Dee. He is still serving his prison sentence for that.
Gypsy Rose and Ryan attempted to deal with their marriage issues after Gypsy Rose was released from prison in December 2023. However, her ex-fiance, Urker, got in touch with her.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Is Expecting a Baby with Ken Urker
While Blanchard denies that she left Anderson for Urker, she also states that she put her feelings for Urker on the backburner to make her marriage with Anderson work. In the end, the marriage wasn’t working, and Blanchard chose to be with Urker.
She did tell Anderson about the pregnancy as soon as possible. He respected her wish to keep it out of the press until she was ready to share the news on social media.
Just recently, Blanchard had to set the record straight about the paternity of her baby. She made it clear to everyone that Urker is definitely the father. According to Page Six, she shared that she left Anderson in mid-March. There is no chance that the baby is his. She also put dates in a social media post so that people would stop questioning the paternity.
According to People Magazine, Anderson could still be on the birth certificate as the father due to a technicality. If the divorce isn’t finalized by the time the baby is born, Louisiana Law states that the husband must be listed as the father until paternity is established if the mother is still married or the divorce hasn’t been finalized for more than 300 days.
Anderson didn’t believe the pregnancy at first, but he was amicable as he realized the truth. Sources haven’t said if Anderson will sign an affidavit to put Urker on the birth certificate or not.
