Common dumped Tiffany Haddish before he started dating Jennifer Hudson. Now, Tiffany is speaking out about Common’s “dating patterns,” and her opinion on his love life is pretty shocking.
According to The Source, Tiffany calls her ex-boyfriend’s dating patterns “distinct,” and she’s opening up about their relationship three years after what the outlet called a “public split.”
The Source made these claims based on Tiffany’s exclusive interview with People.com on April 28th.
Tiffany Haddish Said It Was ‘Two Years of Him Chasing Me Down’
People wrote that Tiffany’s involvement with Common was her “last known relationship,” and according to the outlet, Common “pursued her for some time” before they went public with their romance several years ago.
Tiffany refers to Common as the “only celebrity” she’s ever “entangled with,” and she alleges that it was “two years of him chasing me down” before she claims she finally gave in and said, “Okay, let’s do something.”
Tiffany even gave a timeline in the interview, saying she and Common started dating at the “top of 2020, but we met at the beginning of 2018, 2017.”
The April 28th People interview also mentioned something Common said about Tiffany when they interviewed him in July 2021.
Common Told Tiffany: ‘I Think This Relationship Has Run Its Course’
At that time, Common claimed that he needed to “enjoy life.” He said he was “experiencing that” and was “grateful for that” in his relationship with Tiffany.
Shockingly, Tiffany is now alleging that her relationship with Common wasn’t quite as enjoyable as he made it out to be.
She told People she and Common “quietly” went their separate ways in August 2021. But according to Tiffany, their split was not “mutual.”
Later on in 2021, Tiffany did an interview with The Washington Post, and People mentioned Tiffany’s quote to the Post that her breakup with Common “was more him saying, ‘I think this relationship has run its course.’”

Is Tiffany Throwing Shade at Common?
She also told People that she’s been contemplating Common’s “dating history,” and Tiffany alleges that Common follows a dating “cycle,” whether or not he’s aware that this pattern exists.
Tiffany claims Common’s pattern seems to run “every two years.” She said he stays single for “six to nine months” and then gets into a new relationship that lasts “two years.” Tiffany claims that’s his “schedule,” and in her opinion, Common has continually followed this pattern throughout his romantic life.
If Tiffany still sounds angry or hurt about her breakup with Common, she claims she “ain’t mad” at her ex or his love life.
She told People that she believes there’s a “gang” of old men in the world who aren’t “famous” but are “doing the same thing” as Common.
Tiffany also spoke out about allegations made against her. She said that “everybody” thought she “wanted to marry [Common] so bad,” but Tiffany told People that wasn’t the real truth.
She referred to another People.com article published when she was still dating Common. In that report, Tiffany claimed she would prefer it if Common bought her an “apartment” instead of an engagement ring.
Tiffany explained in her recent People interview that the “deed” to an apartment “is more powerful than a marriage license,” and she also thinks it’s “easier to get out of.” Tiffany even said, “There’s some return on that investment” with real estate instead of a piece of jewelry.
Tiffany’s Multiple Dating Partners
People reported that Tiffany “has a new lease on love these days” at the age of 44. She said she’s “dating multiple guys” and claimed they “all know about each other.”
But Tiffany also dropped a bombshell that sounds crazy, considering her dating life seems pretty active. She told People that she hasn’t gotten intimate with anyone “since October,” and Tiffany claims that a celibate lifestyle is really working out for her!
She thinks that being celibate makes “men love you even more.” She added that the guys she’s seeing “work even harder,” and they’ve taken her on trips to prove their affection.
Tiffany claims that the guys are “in love” with her, and allegedly, they’ve told her, “I’ve never been in a relationship like this. It’s amazing!” She also joked that she tells them, “[We’re] in a relationship? I thought you were just taking me to eat.”
After her shocking split with Common, Tiffany claims she knows what she wants. She was also married once before, and while Tiffany knows she wants a “partner,” she doesn’t think she wants another “marriage contract.”
