In 1996, Lil Kim was recording her first album, Hard Core, with the help of Biggie. 

During this time, she became pregnant with his child. 

Lil Kim kept this a secret until 1999, when she opened up about it in an interview with The Source. 

It’s unknown if Biggie even knew about the pregnancy, since Lil Kim felt like she had to make a really hard decision. 

She chose to terminate the pregnancy. 

It was a while before she shared her reasons why. 

And what she said was incredible to hear. 

She said that she already knew at the time that with the kind of relationship she had with Biggie, there was no room for a child.
