Travis Barker has been pushing Kourtney Kardashian’s kids away and has even been snubbing them in his social media posts.
And lately, it seems like she hasn’t been spending as much time with them either.
So what’s really going on?
The truth about why Travis no longer wants anything to do with Kourtney’s children is absolutely crazy, so let’s get into it.
Why Did Travis Barker Omit Kourtney’s Kids From His Artwork?
Travis recently shared a photo to his Instagram Story showing his artwork that he’d drawn on a wall in Peru.
According to The U.S. Sun, Travis wrote both his and Kourtney’s initials on the left side of the art piece and added a heart beside them.
On the right side, he wrote the names of his kids.
Travis included the names of Rocky, Alabama, Landon, and Atiana, his stepdaughter from his second marriage, in his street art.
But the names of Mason, Penelope, and Reign were noticeably missing from his artwork.
Travis had added Atiana’s name, so why didn’t he add the names of his other stepchildren, too?
Not surprisingly, his obvious exclusion of Kourtney’s kids with Scott Disick left many social media users feeling completely outraged.
A lot of people discussed Travis’s street art snub in a thread posted to Reddit.
The majority of the commenters appeared to be in agreement that his decision to leave out Mason, Penelope, and Reign’s names was seriously shady.
By including Kourtney in his artwork, it seemed like Travis was basically saying that his kids were her kids as well.
After all, they used to talk about their big, blended family all the time.
So by excluding her kids, was Travis saying that he doesn’t feel the same way about them?
Sadly, this isn’t the first time that something has happened where Kourtney’s children ended up being intentionally left out by Travis.
At this point, there’s a devastating pattern of him pushing her kids away, and the artwork incident is just the most recent example.
But why does it seem like Travis doesn’t want anything to do with Mason, Penelope, and Reign anymore?
Is Travis Controlling and Narcissistic?
One of the possible reasons why Travis has been pushing Kourtney’s children to the side has to do with the theory that he’s controlling and narcissistic.
Many people have speculated that he’s been manipulating Kourtney since the beginning of their relationship, and the reason why is truly unbelievable.
A lot of people have theorized that Travis has purposely been trying to isolate Kourtney for a while, so that he feels like the most important part of her life.

In one scene from the episode, Kim questioned Kourtney over the phone about why she was never around anymore, and if she was actually happy.
She also revealed that Kourtney’s friends, family, and even her own kids had come to her with their concerns about her.
Kourtney fired back that she didn’t need her family anymore, because she had a new one with Travis.
She claimed that she was happier with him anyway.
But ever since she and Travis started dating, it really does seem like all of her other relationships have changed in pretty bizarre ways.
Kourtney used to be very family-oriented, and she always made it known that her children were her first priority.
But that suddenly shifted when her relationship with Travis began.
In a recap of a May 2022 episode of The Kardashians published by SheKnows, Kourtney and Travis’s selfish behavior was on full display.
Travis and Kourtney Disregarded Her Kids’ Plea to Stop Showing PDA
During the episode, Kourtney’s kids made it clear that they didn’t approve of their mom and Travis constantly showing their affection to each other.
But even when Penelope and Reign begged for their mom and Travis to stop kissing in front of them all the time, nothing changed.
Not to mention, the kids were still trying to adjust to Kourtney being in a really serious relationship with someone who wasn’t their dad.
But despite how uncomfortable they felt about their mom and Travis always being so touchy-feely in front of them, the kids’ feelings weren’t respected.
Is Travis Intentionally Pushing Out Kourtney’s Baby Father, Scott Disick?
However, it’s possible that that was part of Travis’s self-centered goal all along.
At the time, Travis was repeating his toxic relationship pattern with Kourtney, which included love-bombing her and showing her relentless public displays of affection.
But he wouldn’t have been able to manipulate her as easily if he had been more considerate to her kids and stopped being so over-the-top with his affection.
It also seemed like Travis wanted to solidify his role in Kourtney’s life as quickly as he could in an attempt to push Scott out.
For years, Kourtney and Scott had been able to either co-parent smoothly, or at least be relatively civil with each other for the sake of their kids.
Interestingly, that was no longer the case as soon as Travis entered the picture.
Whether it was jealousy or just his need to be in control, he didn’t want Scott being anywhere near as involved with Kourtney or the Kardashian family anymore.
Unfortunately, that ultimately affected Kourtney and Scott’s children in a seriously startling way.
Why Were Kourtney’s Kids Excluded from Travis’ Proposal?
By now, most people already know that Kourtney’s kids were excluded from Travis’s proposal.
And even though Kris supposedly made the decision for them to not be present, it honestly seemed to boil down to Travis being the one who planned for them to not be there.
During the proposal episode, Kris revealed that she didn’t want to ask Scott if she could pick up the kids from his house, but her reasoning was pretty ridiculous.
She claimed that she would have ended up telling him about Travis and Kourtney’s engagement.
So in order to spare his feelings, she made the choice to not have the kids be a part of their mom’s special moment.
But let’s be real, Travis was in control of when and where the proposal took place.
If he really wanted to include Kourtney’s kids, he could have done it on a different day.
However, there’s another possible explanation for why he’s been pushing them to the side, and it’s honestly insane.
Travis might be excluding Mason, Penelope, and Reign because he views them as an extension of Scott.
At first, he seemed to at least pretend like he was interested in being around them.
But now, he’s completely dropped the act for a truly outrageous reason.
Why is Kourtney and Scott Arguing?
According to what a source told Life & Style, Scott recently asked Kourtney to take her PDA with Travis down a level when they’re around the kids.
Allegedly, they’ve been arguing about co-parenting more than ever lately after Scott saw a video online that he found super concerning.
In February, a TikTok that was posted by an Australian news account started making its way around the Internet.
In the clip, Kourtney, Travis, and Penelope are seen backstage at one of blink-182’s Australian concerts.

But right before Travis and his bandmates get onstage and start the show, he and Kourtney stop to share a few kisses.

Neither of them are paying any attention to Penelope, who looks around awkwardly as her mom and Travis continue to be affectionate with each other.

Eventually, Penelope appears fed up with the situation and walks away.

When Kourtney and Travis finally stop, they turn to walk toward the stage, leaving Penelope behind.

Is Kourtney Kardashian a Bad Mother?
Kourtney didn’t even check to see where her daughter was.
She and Travis didn’t even seem to remember that Penelope was there, because they were only focused on each other.
She was clearly not being watched, so it’s no wonder that Scott was reportedly upset by the video.
Since Travis doesn’t want Kourtney to deal with her ex anymore, he’s probably not a fan of her increased communication with Scott, even if they’ve just been arguing.
It’s possible that he’s been trying to push the kids away from himself and Kourtney in order to minimize her contact with Scott.
Some people have also speculated that Travis has been losing interest in Kourtney ever since Rocky was born, just like he did after he and his ex-wife had their kids.
If that’s the case, Kourtney could possibly be putting all of her energy and attention into keeping Travis around, which might have resulted in her spending less time with her kids.
Between trying to isolate Kourtney, losing interest in her, and attempting to push her ex out of the way, there are a few possible reasons why Travis has been excluding her kids lately.
