Trey Songz finally reached a settlement with a woman who accused him of SA. According to Radar Online, this particular lawsuit has been going on for years.
Trey’s team of attorneys has been working with the victim’s team of attorneys for some time to try to settle the case. There was even a trial set for the case on September 16, 2024. Since Trey finally settled the lawsuit, the trial will no longer be happening.

The lawsuit is from an anonymous woman known as Jane Doe. According to her lawsuit, the attack occurred on March 24, 2016.
She and Trey first met while going to an LA nightclub. They both enjoyed going to the club, so they’d often end up meeting at a few of them over the years.
They became friends as a result. Jane said that they’d been intimate together before, too. On the night of the alleged incident, however, things were different.
The Event Deeply Affected Jane
She was invited to a party that he was hosting at his LA home. It was a private party, so there weren’t as many people around.
At one point in the evening, Trey asked her to go upstairs with him. She believed they were going to have a consensual, intimate, night together. That wasn’t what happened, she alleged.
All through the night, and especially as they were making their way upstairs, Trey kept pressuring her. Jane wasn’t interested and said no. He kept asking, and she kept saying no.
It was when they were in the bedroom that she said that the SA occurred, and the allegations were disturbing. Jane also said that she ran into Trey several times after the attack took place. Each time, he verbally attacked her in front of others.
Although Jane had an opportunity to talk to the police, she said she didn’t because she was scared of Trey. Her lawyer said that Jane hadn’t been able to hold down a job since then. The emotional distress of that night had affected her deeply.
In response, Trey asked the judge to dismiss the lawsuit. The lawyer representing Jane Doe has also been the lawyer for two other women who have accused Trey of assaulting them.
In those cases, the judge chose to dismiss them. However, the judge didn’t dismiss this lawsuit, which led to Trey finally settling with Jane Doe.
The original lawsuit asked for $25 million. The settlement didn’t disclose how much Jane Doe received, but Trey and his lawyer called the settlement a victory.
