The Canadian basketball player has four children with three different women. His eldest son, Prince, is with ex Jordan Craig. He also shares two children, True and Tatum with Khloé Kardashian, and has one child, Theo, with fitness model Maralee Nichols.
Tristan Thompson Spends Quality Time with Prince
People Magazine shared the Instagram photos, highlighting the caption “Lunch date with my Prince.” The father-son duo took numerous photos together, sharing their cheeseburger and fries and enjoying time with silly faces together.
There were also photos of the two playing outside a Christian Dior furniture.
Many fans took to the comments to share how much the father and son duo look-alike. Prince is a “mini-me” version of Thompson. Some commenters did touch on the fact that there aren’t as many photos with Prince as there are with his other children. Commenters questioned whether there was a problem between their relationship.
Kai Craig Speaks Out About Tristan Thompson’s Parenting
The photos come in the midst of family drama. Craig’s sister, Kai, spoke out about the 42-year-old’s parenting of Prince. She took to Instagram to share that Thompson “can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince.”
Those comments came off the back of an episode of The Kardashians that showed Thompson on good terms with his ex Khloé. The two coparent True and Tatum well when on the screen in the reality show.
Kai wasn’t happy about the Kardashians defending his character. She made it clear that Thompson isn’t a good father if he can’t be a good father to all four of his children. She shared that the NBA player doesn’t spend the same amount of quality time with Prince compared to the quality time he spends with True and Tatum.
Commenters Defend Tristan Thompson
Theo wasn’t mentioned in all of this, and Nichols hasn’t spoken out about the disparity between the treatment of True and Tatum compared to that of Theo. However, commenters have pointed out that he also isn’t included in the social media posts as much as the children with Kardashian.
Some commenters did come to Thompson’s defense regarding this. It is possible that Nichols doesn’t want her son to be all over Thompson’s social media? While the Kardashian children are regularly on TV through their reality programs, not all of Thompson’s exes put their children in the public eye. Thompson may be abiding by the wishes of the moms involved.
News Week reports that Thompson didn’t initially acknowledge Theo. Nichols sued Thompson for child support, and a paternity test was used to prove he was the father. He then publicly apologized to Khloe Kardashian as the two were still in a relationship at the time, and Thompson was eventually ordered to pay almost $10,000 per month in child support to Nichols.
