Nicola Peltz passed on her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham’s birthday party. The glamorous bash was attended by a litany of stars, including Gordon Ramsay and Tom Cruise, as well as the rest of the Spice Girls. But one person who was noticeably absent was the wife of Victoria’s son, Brooklyn.
Her absence set off some alarm bells online, with fans worried that there was some sort of rift between the two women. Since then, Nicola has taken to social media to shut down all the theories.
She shared a post on her Instagram Stories in which she explained the truth about what happened. Her post included a photo of Nicola hugging her grandmother, who it turned out Nicola had chosen to spend some time with. In the caption, she wrote, “My world in my arms.”
Another photo followed, showing the full Beckham family posing at the party in Oswalds in London. Nicola also shared a heartfelt message to Victoria.
She wrote, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful MIL @victoriabeckham.” She went on to write that she was “so sad” that she was not there to celebrate Victoria’s birthday with her, but sent “all my love from me and Naunni.”
Nicola and her grandmother have always had an exceptionally close relationship. She was even the maid of honor at her wedding to Brooklyn. With this being the case, it’s not surprising that Nicola prioritized spending time with her grandma over Victoria’s swanky bash.
Nicola and Victoria Haven’t Always Gotten Along
For everyone who did attend, the party was an evening to remember. It was reported that inside the party, all five members of the Spice Girls reunited to sing their hit song Stop. Victoria’s husband David captured the moment when his wife along with her bandmates started busting out their iconic dance moves.

Victoria’s actual birthday took place the previous week. At that time, Nicola showed her affection for her mother-in-law with another post. This one showed a throwback photo of her and Victoria in an embrace, along with a caption in which Nicola called her mother-in-law her “dance partner.”

However, things weren’t always so rosy for the two women. There were rumors before her wedding to Brooklyn that they were in a long feud.
One insider told Page Six, “They can’t stand each other and don’t talk.” The source went on to say, “The build-up to the wedding was horrendous.” Whether those rumors are now back to stay, we’ll just have to wait and see.
