Back in 2011, two young girls stole the hearts of Ellen DeGeneres’ viewers.
Cousins Sophia Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland were on the show after going viral for a video they made.
The girls were only eight and five years old at the time.
Yet, they became an overnight success after they performed Nicki Minaj’s Superbass and uploaded it on social media.
Ellen saw the video and knew she had to get the girls on her show.
They made their appearance, and the audience fell in love.
This wouldn’t be the last time viewers saw Sophia and Rosie, either.
Tea Time With Sophia Grace and Rosie
Ellen gave them their own segment on her show called Tea Time With Sophia Grace & Rosie.
During the segment, the two girls would sit down with celebrities and interview them while having some tea.
They interviewed the likes of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus.
Their stardom didn’t end there, either.
Ellen even had them working red carpet events.
They’d show up in their tutus and ask passing celebrities questions.
Their fame even earned them a guest appearance on Nickelodeon’s Sam & Cat.
Music has also been a large part of their life.
They released a single together, which would eventually help one of them launch her solo career.
Where are Sophia Grace and Rosie Now?
While they shot to fame when they were younger, it’s been over a decade now since the cousins sat down on Ellen’s sofa.
The first big update the girls gave was back in 2020.
Rosie spoke with E! News after she released her hit song, Girls.
She was 14 at the time and said that she wasn’t really into dating or boys just yet.
Instead, she was just focusing on her friends, which is what her hit song was all about.
She also talked about her experience filming Sam & Cat, particularly how great it was to meet Ariana Grande.
She said that she always looked up to Ariana because she considered her a talented and dedicated artist.
She also remembered that Ariana was always so driven and passionate on set.
At that time, Rosie and Sophia still saw each other at family gatherings.
Sophia started her own clothing line and regularly gave her cousin new clothes to try.
While Sophia was focusing on fashion, Rosie was focusing on music.
She said that her music was growing up right alongside her.
Now, fans have a new update with Sophia and Rosie.
Motherhood for Sophia
On Sophia’s Instagram, she revealed that she was a mother.
She posted a picture of herself with her cousin, Rosie, holding her new son, River.
She captioned the post simply as “Family.”
Sophia moved to the United Kingdom at some point since she had taken the photo at her UK home.
She shares her son with her boyfriend.
Rosie was there to see the newest member of the family.
Her music career has continued to grow over the years, with more and more fans discovering her.
Even their old friend, Ellen, chimed in to pay her respects to Sophia’s new baby.
She wrote in the comments, “Nicki Minaj the 3rd!”
The future seems to be bright for the two former child celebrities.
