Disgraced hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been stopped for questioning in Miami.
The producer and businessman was spotted waiting outside a private airport while his associate was questioned, in a clip obtained by TMZ and posted on The Shade Room’s Instagram. This happened just hours after it was reported that federal agents had raided Diddy’s mansions in Miami and LA.
Homeland Security entered both properties as part of their investigations into serious crimes Diddy has been alleged to be connected to.
Diddy was nowhere to be found at the time of the agents’ raid, as they combed through his homes removing boxes and bags of evidence.
Could Diddy Be On the Run?
It was thought that by the time the investigators arrived, Diddy had already fled the country. Multiple news outlets reported that his private jet had been traced flying to the Caribbean island of Antigua a few hours ago.
The Daily Mail stated that the plane was tracked flying “multiple times across California on Sunday and Monday before jetting off to the island”.
However, there was no evidence that Diddy was on board at the time.
The 54-year-old was later witnessed walking around the customs office at the private airport in Miami. However, he was reportedly not detained or taken into custody. Unconfirmed rumors about Diddy flying to Cape Verde to avoid extradition have also started circulating online.
During the raid on his Los Angeles home, several people were detained with reports suggesting that two of the mogul’s sons were present.
The Mail also reported that a police line was set up around the Holmby Hills mansion, and at least two men were put in handcuffs.
One of Diddy’s Neighbors Spoke Out
One of Diddy’s California neighbors spoke to the news outlet about what living near Diddy had been like.
Ryan Mendelsohn spoke about some of the wild scenes he had witnessed living five minutes away from the mansion. Among these, he claimed to have seen “girls get out of the car in swimsuits”, as well as “private drivers between 1 and 3 a.m.”.
Although he had never seen Diddy with the women, Ryan stated that since hearing of some of the allegations made about the rapper, things now seemed “pretty serious”.
After the footage of Diddy waiting at the airport emerged, media reached out to his attorney and other representatives for comment. However, they have yet to respond.
Following the string of damning accusations made against him since Cassie’s shocking allegations last November, Diddy released a statement on social media. He described the allegations against him as “sickening”, and claimed that they were made by people looking to destroy his character “for a quick payday”.
After denying all charges put against him, he wrote that he would “fight for my name, my family and for the truth”.
Cassie’s Lawyer Released a Statement
Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie was also approached for a response to the wake of the most recent news regarding Diddy’s whereabouts. Douglas Wigdor, the lawyer for Cassie and another alleged victim of Diddy, released a statement in response to the raids on Diddy’s houses.
He said that “hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.”
