Zach Bryan and his girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia, almost died during a car crash that she said left them covered in blood. Brianna posted a TikTok video talking about the accident, which she said was causing her to have a mental breakdown. She said so much had happened in the two days prior to her making the video.
It all started with a terrifying car accident that she and Zach were in. She said that a car struck them side-by-side, which sent their car rolling over and over. The glass from the car shattered everywhere and cut them.
When the car finally came to a stop, she saw that they were both covered in blood. Zach, especially, was bloody since the glass had cut him the most.
Because of how much blood there was in the car, the couple thought they might be dying. They said their goodbyes to each other. It was a painful and emotional moment.
Luckily, the ambulance arrived and managed to get them out of the car. None of Zach’s major arteries had been cut by the glass. However, the damage was bad enough that he needed stitches for a few particularly deep gashes.
Brianna said that if they hadn’t been wearing their seatbelts at the time, they probably would have died.
Brianna Almost Lost Her Cat, Mango
After the terrifying accident, the couple found themselves in trouble again. The pair were on a bus and touring for one of Zach’s concerts. They were headed to Little Rock, Arkansas, where Zach had two concerts to play.
They managed to get back to the bus after receiving treatment from the hospital, but just as they opened the door to the bus, one of Brianna’s cats came rushing out the door. She said in the video that this cat, Mango, never leaves the bus. He prefers to stay inside.
However, that particular night, he decided to run out and into the nearby woods. It was midnight by that point, so everything was pitch black. Mango had jumped over a barbed wire fence and run off into a thick part of the woods.
Neither Brianna nor Zack had shoes on at this point. Yet, they needed to find Mango and bring her home. They ended up walking over the barbed wire and getting themselves cut up even more.
Eventually, they found Mango. Zach tried to jump on her to keep her from running away.
Unfortunately, Mango still managed to escape, and Zach opened up his stitches. So, he was bleeding everywhere all over again.
Brianna was also still pulling some glass from her face and body. Because it was so dark, she was worried that they were never going to find Mango.
Thankfully, Mango was eventually rescued and put back on the bus. Zach had to get his stitches re-done, however.
Brianna’s Cat, Olly, Also Escaped From the Bus
Brianna said at this point that they were basically able to get two hours of sleep before they needed to get back up and start driving to Arkansas.
She had some podcasts that she needed to record, and he had two concerts. Even though they were exhausted, they still showed up for their commitments.
But their rough journey wasn’t quite over. After Zach’s concerts, they got back to the bus at around 2 AM.
Brianna had to get up at seven because she had another podcast that she needed to record. She said that was actually pretty good since she doesn’t always get that much sleep, anyway.

However, when they opened the door to the bus again, Olly decided to run out and away. Brianna said both cats had been living on the bus for two months now, and neither had tried to escape before.
So, they had to search for Olly. By the time they found Olly, it was 6:30 in the morning.
She managed to get some sleep, but it was obvious in the video that she was exhausted. Brianna said that she was so tired and kept finding new bruises and scrapes on her body.
She also admitted that because they had to move on so quickly from the car crash, there’s some lingering trauma from the event, too. They weren’t able to process what had happened.
Brianna Urged Her Fans to Wear Their Seatbelts
Now, while the video ended there, Brianna had one more follow-up video that she wanted to share with her fans. In the TikTok video, Brianna urged her fans to wear a seatbelt.
She said that if she and Zach hadn’t been wearing seatbelts, they likely would not have survived the crash. The sheer damage of the vehicle and what had happened inside the car would have left them decapitated or with broken necks. The fact that they were wearing seatbelts is what kept them alive.
Brianna also admitted that she was never the type to really urge people to wear seatbelts before. She took on the ‘people will do what they decide to do’ approach when it came to having passengers in her car or riding with other people. However, she was raised to always wear a seatbelt, so it was natural for her to do so.
After the experience she had with the crash, though, she’s taking seatbelt advocacy more seriously. She said that if her fans take anything from all of her social media, they should wear a seatbelt.
Zach Has a History with the Law
Some fans also noticed that Zach looked injured during his concert in Little Rock. A TikTok video showed Zach performing and wearing a red bandage around his right arm.
While Zach was likely grateful that the police and ambulance arrived as quickly as they did, he’s had a few problems with law enforcement in the past. Back in September 2023, Zach was stopped by police and wasn’t very nice when the officer started asking him questions.
Zach talked about what happened in a video he posted on Twitter. He explained that he had been pulled over a few days earlier from the day the incident happened.
The officer pulled him over for going over five miles above the speed limit. While the officer asked for the usual things from Zach, like his license and registration, he also asked for Zach’s address.
Zach was uncomfortable with giving him his address because of his fame. Zach claimed that since he refused to give his address, the officer handcuffed him and threatened to take him to jail.
Not wanting to go to jail, Zach eventually told the officer his address. They uncuffed him and let him go with a warning.
Zach Was Pulled Over Again
Then, a few days later, he was pulled over again. This time, however, Zach claimed that his bodyguard was driving. Since his bodyguard was driving, he decided to wait in the car and let him take care of the officer.
When he decided to smoke, however, he got out of the car. That’s when the officer threatened he’d take Zach to jail. Zach said he couldn’t believe it and became mouthy with the officer, which is what got him in trouble.

During the video, Zach said that he had acted immaturely in that moment and felt like a child about it. He wanted his fans to know that he didn’t think he was above the law. He was just being disrespectful and was sorry for it.
Zach also posted a status on Twitter saying he was truly sorry to the officers and was asking for prayers to move on from the embarrassing situation.
When he arrived at the sheriff’s office, he said that everyone there was very kind to him. He had his mugshot taken, however, and so he wanted to make a public statement about what happened before the incident was blown out of proportion.
Zach and Brianna Met Long Before They Started Dating
In May 2023, however, Zach’s luck would change after meeting Brianna at the Academy of Country Music Awards. At the time, they were both in relationships.
Brianna was a big fan of Zach’s prior to meeting him, and so she was excited to see what he was like. She said that he was the nicest man she had ever met in her life.
Later in May, Zach broke up with his girlfriend, Deb Peifer. In June, Brianna attended one of his concerts, and they met again.
She was still in a relationship at the time, but she and her boyfriend broke up a few days later. Zach very quickly started messaging her, and they started talking.
In July, Brianna confirmed that she and Zach were having a casual relationship. That changed by August, however, when she started calling herself Zach’s girlfriend. They’ve been close since, and after the traumatizing car accident they shared together, they’re likely even closer now.
